Despite holding a Data Science certification, my role transitioned into a Data Analyst position in Digital Marketing field. Regrettably, the job I landed up was only related to basic excel. If I were to acquire proficiency in Power BI and SQL, could this potentially lead me to secure a job with a more fitting profile? Your insights are much appreciated.

Bootcamp has many additional things such as (1) AI module (2) Portfolio tool that will allow you to build portfolio for free (3) Job assistance (4) Virtual internship. These things are much more important that few additional lectures in Python. Remember that there are many data analyst jobs that do no require Python at all

I would switch to a SDE role asap. Data analysts I feel will soon face a big job crunch issue as AI advances, whereas if you are SDE with some AI knowledge you will remain in demand.

Yes, it is. And you need soft skills as well. Focus on building your project portfolio, just learning tools won't be enough.

Right now in the USA job situation is bad. People are having hard time getting a job and for a data analyst role some companies do not sponsor h1b. Things may change in the coming years but if you ask me right now, my answer would be do not come to the USA for data analyst or even software developer position

I don't understand the point of doing MS in Data analytics in USA. MS in CS or AI/ML makes sense as still there are tons of jobs for Software Engineer and other SDE roles.
