Dassault Finds Creative Ways to Improve Jet Interior Maintenance and Overhaul Turnaround Time - AIN

Ғылым және технология

The task of safely maintaining aircraft is very exacting in terms of processes that must be followed, but that doesn’t mean there is no room for innovation. The team Dassault Aviation Business Services in Geneva, Switzerland has come up with new ways to apply the skills of their craftspeople to deliver exactly what customers want in their private jet cabins. Through new processes, Dassault has designed a new seat structure that it can build on existing Falcon 7X seat frames before the aircraft even arrives for overhaul, and the improvements help with future maintenance too.

Nice video and informative, but I was hoping they would spend more time talking about the aircraft structure and systems repair at this MRO, and not cabin furnishings repair.

Good point, and we've updated the title to reflect that it focuses more on the interior part. We would have liked to feature more of the repair potential of this MRO but Dassault brought us there to show us the result of its recent work on the seats. Perhaps we can dive deeper into an MRO soon. Thank you for watching!

It's strange that jet interiors aren't updated more when the jets are so expensive, reupholstering is so inexpensive and it's the interior of a jet that gets dated quickly.
