Nonsense. It was Daryl's brother. Perhaps if he killed somebody (or even pushed the Gov't to do something worse to Maggie), I could understand unforgiveness. At this point, Glenn is justified to be angry, but not for terribly long. Cuz the truth is, that was nothing compared to what people would do to others later on. Glenn hadn't learned that yet.

I think the issue is Daryl's been conditioned to excuse Merle's shitty behavior his whole life. Their dynamic is damaged as fuck-- Daryl at the back of his mind still sees Merle as the "good alternative" to their abusive dad, and admittedly spent his whole adult life pre-apocalypse just following Merle around. What was the story about how Merle, Daryl, and Merle's dealer were watching TV together and the dealer ended up punching Daryl so hard he vomited? And Merle just laughed it off, and Daryl just kind of shrugged and accepted it? Daryl's damaged default state is to make excuses for the shitty things Merle does, and I think that's what he's slipping back into here.

I dealt with people in my grade school years who are remorseless and relentlessly evil and have admitted and actioned out that theyll never change and i went through a situation with someone who hurt me and never said a second thought about it and to me that was annoying i saw actionably the true meaning of completely evil the governor fits this description more than merle if someone hurts you and then says nothing about it that is logically the true meaning of completely evil if someone tries to be good and shows remorse its redeemable daryl is right ive lived the questioned experience that these two are trying to understand
