Palpatine made vaders armor heavy and bulky so that he couldn’t over power him. He also made the armor highly susceptible to lighting so that he could easily take him down with with lightning. Not just that but the suit made him in constant agony but he ended up using that to strengthen his connection to the dark side. He even at one point took out an entire rebel army that had their guns trained on him

I find that Doom is far more interesting when he's the villain in the story, that way he has a hero to work off of. Besides, the fact that Doom is the antagonist who has far better intentions than the hero just makes him a better character, I feel like having him as the protagonist and/or main focus would kind of ruin that.

Who else is rewatching the videos of Lex and Doom's feats to get an idea of who will win the next Death Battle? My money is on Doom. Lex's tech is mainly focused on just Superman, whereas Doom can absorb any energy, control any tech, and is just an immortal genius with much more experience

Well it's more complicated than that. See ideally speaking Death Battle takes from the "general history" (for lack of a better term) of a character's feats. Originally, Dr. Doom wasn't as powerful as he was shown, but like his enemies the Fantastic Four he actually has grown in power and knowledge (which also contributed to Darth Vader's downfall, since his full potential has never been realized and is reflected in EU Grandmaster Luke, until the EU isn't canon anymore). Though that overpowered stuff can be argued to be subjective.

Eh, I kinda didn't care for this, I LOVE Star Wars, but puting Darth Vader against Doctor Doom is like putting Black Widow against Wolverine. The scaling of comic book characters is insane, where Vader has been seen at his limits, comic books (in my opinion) sacrafice limits to make their favorite villains/heroes even more stupidly powerful. Vader being arguably the 2nd strongest Sith ever? Well too bad, Dr. Doom has magical mystical tech - ex machina! Don't get the wrong idea, Death Battle did the right thing, but the match-up was kinda doomed in my eyes from the start.

To be fair: Much of Vader’s power comes from the fear he generates. Yes, he has mastery over the Force and is a masterfully proficient fighter but look at both of his fights with Obi-Wan...who has zero fear of Vader and beat him twice despite (Remember he ALLOWED Vader to defeat him in order to galvanize Luke) being the lesser combatant. To Doom, Vader is a fly.

Vader was way more powerful than Obi-Wan by that point. Vader hasn't gotten less powerful with age like Obi-Wan has, and when Vader fought Obi-Wan the first time he was only a jedi knight, unlike Obi-Wan who was a jedi master.

Kinclair 3.0 They already pointed out in the the Goku vs Superman video that Superman would end up winning pretty much ANY match up since he's basically a living ideal. He's a god with no limits. That's part of why I don't find him interesting, but you can't deny the truth of it. Superman is unstoppable.

Doom's intelligence alone is on another level. That coupled with his mystical knowledge and built-in tech proved too much for the asthmatic with family issues.

In the films, the force is underestimate as the legends. Only with the force you can stop doom and make his heart stop beating. Darth Malgus with only a scream deformed the bridge of a ship (like Vader at the end of episode III). This is the real power of the force. VADER IS THE REAL WINNER.

Think about both of Doom's fights. With Vader, he chose a Doombot to fight first to gauge Vader's power. He didn't even bother with that fighting Lex Luthor, showing that he actually saw Vader as a more serious threat than Lex. Doom sends out bots when he isn't 100% confident of victory.

5:50 Correction, in the force unleashed novelization Galen Marek could only stave off Vader's attacks, he could not outright match him in raw power. This version of Galen was stated to be more powerful than the one who moved the Star Destroyer, so Vader's upper limits in legends are an unknown. Probably continent level, or low end planet/moon through extreme concentration. Which is a fair estimate, since a Sidious 5 years after endor had knowledge and power to decimate worlds with force storm (force breach wormholes). Vader was 80% that ROTJ Palpatine. Considering their powers are comparable, one could only imagine a Sidious surpassed Vader, despite his injuries. Sidious even believed Vader's injuries were not what was holding him back, more likely his mental instability.

It was retcon that he had help and was sent back in the future. And he wasn't "unstoppable". He just waited until Reed made a plot device to save the day. Even before the retcon writers just ignored his power up

Well, I agree with the outcome, but lets face it, Star Wars tries to keep Force abilities to a reasonable power scale that doesn't defy absolute believe-ability (usually). Marvel comics has no such repercussions or restrictions; they will amp the power levels of anyone to unbelievable heights because that is what they are known for: the fantastic powers and the fantasy of their worlds. Star Wars is the sci-fi and cares more about creating a scientifically unbelievable universe, filled with numerous worlds, creatures, sentient races and so on, mostly over the powers of some mystic mumbo-jumbo. In the end, funny enough, Star Wars tries to keep the believable powers of their universe more than Marvel ever would. Sure, it goes to some lengths to create a sense of wow and astonishment through the power of the Force on rare occasions but usually keeps it below the DC or Marvel comic levels of OP. No surprise Doom won in the end because that's just the world he lives in where limits are thinner than the Star Wars universe Vader is trapped in. Fun to watch, though, so I give this vid a 'like' through and through. Till next time!

+Mr. Scratch "Star Wars is the sci-fi and cares more about creating a scientifically unbelievable universe". how do you explain the force? A true unhyped sci-fi representation would involve something along the lines of Mass Effect with noone being truly powerful. Although i do agree marvel universe characters are greatly overpowered. This fight is very similar to Sam Fisher vs Solid snake fight. Same Fisher is in a more closer-to-reality world whereas Snake is part of a world filled with human clones made in the 70's, cyborg ninjas and advanced nanotech.

What I meant about creating a scientifically huge universe is that, while the Force is powerful, how much of an impact does it have visually in comparison to the amazing worlds, architecture, droids, starships, etc., that Star Wars is famous for. Yes, the Force has its place, no doubt, but when one thinks about the things of true destruction in Star Wars, they think about the Death Star, Star Destroyers and so on (Force Choking is cool, but blowing up a planet is on a whole other level). With Marvel, they think about Thor, Hulk or people of equally grand power as that. In the end, between Star Wars and Marvel, it's more a battle of WMDs (Weapons of Mass Destruction) and PMDs (People of Mass Destruction), respectively.

What's the point of this Goku vs. Superman? Supersaiyan God has no official multiplier so it will be the same a it was last time. Screwattack don't do it to yourself. There were many things wrong with Gokus stats in the first one but even if his stats were correct it wouldn't change the outcome. if Goku is going to lose again people will brag about "you used Supersaiyan GOD, but there's Supersaiyan GOD Supersaiyan who is stronger, this is BS, do yet another death battle.", fans will be fans - It's pointless.

MWMTEE When Toriyama was asked why he chose red for gokus ssj god form he told them he thought blue *looked* weaker and gold was already used so he chose red. I agree. As awesome as a lightsaber is, it's only just a beam of hot plasma in a containment field (this was described in The Old Republic games) so, compare that to the 6 infinity stones, wielded by a self-proclaimed god (for good reason) channeled into a single, destructive punch, it's no question which is more deadly... and if doom can survive the gauntlet, there's no way a lightsaber can really do anything.

He's not "second only in magic to Dr Strange." There are several magicians better than Doom(and even more if you also count non-mortals). And yes, I read that comic. If you did, you'd know that Doom got 2nd place, but not because he was the 2nd strongest.

I have a question. How are the Fantastic 4 even FIGHTING this guy?! I don't read Marvel much, I'm more a DC reader, but like, if Doom is THIS POWERFUL, there should be NO WAY he can even be beaten!!!

+Jenifer Joseph It's probably because the only person who's more of a genius than Doom in the marvel universe is Reed Richards, and he's good at exploiting Doom's biggest weakness, his arrogance.

+Jenifer Joseph Reed Richards is one of the smartest men in the 616 universe and really one of the only people Doom considers on his level of intellect, and Doom has a massive ego and usually that's his undoing

Doom keeps himself protected by many magical spells to prevent anything like that from hurting him, while his forcefield stops Vader's lightsaber attacks. Doom uses a few other magical spells, & Vader is defeated. Vader has faced Jedi & Mandalorians while Dr.Doom has faced off against gods, cosmic beings, & magical Deities. Doom dominates.
