Walt went postal on a real arrogant guy flashing his cash and privilege all over while he's going through an existential crisis of self and finances. He rigged a squeegee to the guy's car battery, it shorted out and exploded as this song started playing.

@@ICreatedU1 Oceanside California, Seaborne Coffee. It was 5am and noone was around. The dawn sky was deep marine blue and the coffee was good. Thats why music is magical. I can remember everything about that moment.

Love that "ooooooohhhhh' and then the scat in the opening. Takes me right back to 1969! Absolutely love this song.

How can a song be this beautiful and perfect?

I remember this song and artist from my Oakland/Berkeley days hanging around Ray Dobard's Music City records. Ray produced this great song. When I heard it on season one, episode 4 of Breaking Bad, it jolted my small brain with a waves of happiness.

All I can say what a tune and what a singer! How this talent n gem of a song, with sweet soulful smooth melody, remained hidden or ignored is bewildering. He got Al Green and Sam Cooke n a soothing brilliance- and melancholy in that voice...love it!

Never heard heard of this man until this year. What a great singer, man I love Oldies.

Heard this on the radio, decided to listen to it later than even on mushrooms. Best thing i ever did

First heard this watching this show breaking bad now I’m hooked

It's strange for me hearing this song at normal speed for the first time. I knew it first as a sample in a dance song, and again as a sample in a rap song. What an amazing song in all its forms!

I just heard this at the climactic final scene of DAVE S2E10. It took my breath away and pierced my heart...SO comforting and familiar, like, out of my 70s childhood in CA. Damn. Thanks, Lil Dicky!

Heard a song that used this song as a sample (home - soy gates) and I didn't think to much of it, about 2 years later I watch season 1 episode 4 of breaking bad and hear the same exact sample. Spent about 10 minutes looking for the song and found it, this song will forever be in my favorites.
