Don't know why Serj can't just do System & solo thing . Many do that including Daron. System will always be the biggest thing any of them ever did & it put everyone in a pretty good lifestyle & would make the fans aka the people that supported you so you could live that life happy. Throw em a bone now & then.

Serj made it perfectly clear what it would take to get them going again…. It’s literally all on Daren. Serj clearly said he needed the band to split money 4 ways equally and equally creative control and Daren has been the one who has been the cause for these requests. It seems like Daren just really wants to be the main guy but unfortunately for him serj is the one blessed with the unique voice lmao.

@@GreyGooseNWO he will have writing credits just like every other lyric creator on every band ever? 😅 the fact is tons of ppl can write lyrics but SOAD made it based on Serg 1 of a kind voice. It should really be 50/50 between those two but Serg isn’t a poc and actually wants it as a fair split. Don’t like it? Replace him… and that’s where it stands. He knows without Serg voice no one cares about the lyrics.

At 5:48 the air goes out of Daron, a deep sigh about any new album. That was like a deep unspoken "NO". "I wish it was that simple". SOAD is over. The band is OVER. There is no willingness to do new music together. WHY do they stay together!? WHY do they have TOURS in 2021!? OMG, and THEY are the ones who every year bring up a possible new album, and then publicly flip eachother off, and next year repeat same thing. NO WONDER fans ask "Where is the new album!?". They can't work together, but they can't break up. So many years they keep eachother, and the fans, hanging on to hope. THERE WILL NEVER COME AN ALBUM. But they will tour. Sometimes. This band drives eachother, and fans, crazy.

@@pottergeist Lol yes, this is why the kids Toxicity, Hypnotize, and the others don't get any more siblings. Mom and Dad ain't doin' it anymore. Lol. They just appear together at those family gatherings called "tours", and they don't stay for very long, shortest keeping-up apperarances, a few dates every few years, don'r want those dramas to flare up...

All the songs from that Scars On Broadway album were meant to be SOAD'S songs and Daron hold them for like, seven years or so, some say it is Serj who is holding back, i really don't know, i'm just glad they saw eye to eye and released two killer songs...

Tool beacme the new System, Tool released 10000 days in 2006 and Fear Inoculum in 2019 (an LP), while System released Mezmerize/Hypnotize back in 2005, while they released just 2 songs in 2020!

@@oddunb6190 I doubt that. But even if he wrote the majority of the music, it only makes even more sense that Serj outshining him would aggravate his ego. He's very musically talented, but the guy has always struck me as a bit of an egomaniac.

@@TheTrueNarthumpulous daron wrote practically every song on every album. He write almost every part of the songs. Lyrics, guitar, drums, and bass. Im pretty sure he recored Scars albums solo and has a band to help play live, kinda like Dave Grohl

@@parkerkieswetter9027 I don't buy that. It takes so much credit away from the quirks and idiosyncratic style of every other band member. That's what made SoaD great. Every band member stylistically contributed something unique and irreplaceable to the band. "They" are System of a Down.

@@TheTrueNarthumpulous on stage yes. Behind the scenes musically not really. Daron typically brings in an almost fully formulated song… they play around with it and everyone adds bits and pieces here and there. For example Daron might have the melody but not the lyrics to a certain part. The guys (mainly Serj lyrically) will add to it. I think Daron has gotten more controlling over the years simply because I think he doesn’t want to let go of a certain attitude of the band. I can seriously write a book on this.
