3:53 he is recording unplugged guitar sound to layer with main record. As result, he'll get more thinner and raw sounding unique clean daron sound. As he made on aerials. He is a such a genius bc of getting inimitable ideas. Serj said daron wanted a wall that full of hanged guitars to achieve acoustic guitar shop(i guess) sound to record of Question!.

That's exactly what he's doing. Weird thing is he's calling it a "drone", where guitar drones are typically the exact opposite - ambient sounds with the lack of attack. Daron's doing this overdub in order to get a better sounding attack on the strings.

He did a really good job on this album. Can’t stop listening to it.

I can see who was the genius behind SOAD. This Album is DOPE. Thank you Mr Malakian

I admire Daron Malakian I think he’s one of the greatest guitar players ever imo from his singing to screaming and fucking playing the guitar I just think he’s such an incredible artist I love all the work from soad and from sob

Shame on me...I discovered scars on Broadway in June 2018.. and I call myself a daron fan😳. ..I thought only serj was following his solo career. After listening serj on solo and daron solo, as a good fan of SOAD I found that daron was the spirit and soul of system. I love serj, but I find my SOAD vibes more with Daron. Sorry if my English is bad. I'm a french girl😅

Your English is great, and no shame, just gives you a chance and more to catch up on. I hope you have enjoyed it. Just saw your comment now, so I am late on that 😉. Definitely agree with you. Daron carries more of their vibe, I learned way later how much of the music he was creating. I've always valued words and lyrics so when I purchased Steal This Album! years ago I got the Serj edition...but later I thought perhaps I should've gotten the Daron one 😊

Scars was originally formed by Casey chaos and daron malakian they were walking on Hollywood boulevard and noticed swastikas on the light posts and later learned that the posts were imported from Germany after the Holocaust

@@alexvakili1511 Yes. In post - Soviet countrues these carpets on the walls were on purpose. The soviet buildings were quite cheap, so they werent that good at soundproofing and heat retention. So the people found the solution - carpets. They were available and had a decent price, so if you go inside the Soviet apartament you would always notice carpet on the wall

man this guy is amazing

When he belted out arrrrrrrrmageddon let's take drugs and go to war...I just about came. Such a great video. I could watch hours of this, too bad we never got something like a Funky Monks doc by System, and haven't gotten one yet from Daron. And yes, since I am also an RHCP fan, I really hope Daron can do like Frusciante and just start recording everything, all the time, non-stop, anytime. I'd love a sudden creative splurge by him. I feel he has the music inside him, just waiting to jump out. John had a period of like 5 years where it was album after album, quick recording sessions and on to the next solo project. I really feel Daron has that ability as well to have a wave of music hitting us for a couple of years. Album after album, I'd love an acoustic release too. Man, I'm just dying to hear more music from this guy. He's such a genius musical talent. I love Daron and all he represents. We are crying to you, mother.

He did record whole record himself, well of course with help with recording engineer.

Drums were his first love before he picked up guitar. Parents didn't buy him drums because they couldn't "turn off" the drums.

They need to remaster some songs on this album. Some of the mixing/cutting is bad, like on Till the End but I still love the song.
