Darlene Gets PWNED By The FBI and Dark Army | Mr. Robot
Ойын-сауық
Dominique tracks Darlene and Cisco to a restaurant but, while she's inside, a Dark Army shooter opens fire on them, and she emerges from the restaurant covered in splattered blood.
From Mr Robot Season 2 Episode 9 "eps2.8_h1dden-pr0cess.axx"
Price has Colby pull political strings to allow China to annex the Congo in exchange for a financial bailout of E Corp. Cisco finds one of fsociety's members badly wounded and persuades Darlene that he needs a hospital. A witness identifies Cisco leaving Susan's house and the authorities begin to investigate if her vacation is really a disappearance. Despite Dominique's protests that the Dark Army will attack, Cisco's image is released to the media as a Five/Nine suspect. The BOLO is later seen by the hospital's ER staff, who report his location. Joanna persuades Elliot to track the phone she believes was left by Tyrell. Elliot traces the call to a nearby residence, but Mr. Sutherland thinks it won't be Tyrell based on the location. Elliot and Angela later meet on the subway to talk. She makes him realize there are more gaps in his memory and warns him not to trust Mr. Robot. Defeated, Angela intends to confess with her lawyer, admitting her part in the FBI hack. After sharing a kiss with Elliot, she is approached by two figures. Dominique tracks Darlene and Cisco to a restaurant but, while she's inside, a Dark Army shooter opens fire on them, and she emerges from the restaurant covered in splattered blood.

Not only that, the walking light came on when she had a chance to make a difference with her intervention. The countdown starts when events are more or less locked in.
It's unreal how well thought and well put together scenes like this are - in this series. From the ambience music that keeps you clinged to your screen, to unique camera angles, to great acting. The little subtle details.. when the credits roll and you can still hear the background noises. This show is a fucking masterpiece i'm telling you. I know this show is over but in my heart I will forever expect another season.

S2E10. That ending is one of the best of the entire show (or TV). I use to watch that one many times. The work of the director of photography, the producer and actors are so incredible. Everything's match perfectly. (5:30) The ending itself remind me a theater performance. The way every character come in and out of the camera's field, that they are standing in front of us with a standing camera. Everythings appear on the screen has a purpose

I always thought the pedestrian countdown was a nice detail. The Dark Army dude shot Cisco just as the countdown reached 0.
@cedriconizukation7793
3 жыл бұрын
@@DarkSim64 I do agree on that, but there's more. Look once again from the begining of the scene. First, the light is red. It turns green exactly when Dom walks next to it. Then, it turns red when the motorcycle leave the screen before it reappears. And finaly, when the countdown reach 0, he starts shooting. It works perfectly because there isn't any cut and the camera doesn't move. I'm so amazed of the filmography and details of this show !
@mattsmith718

@@cedriconizukation7793 The slow build up of tension with the music as Dominique analyzes the information the nurse tells her made me develop a massive crush on her. But for real, this was a beautifully developed ending with amazing cinematography and color editing. I loved how they kept the street dark, but washed in faint orange glare of a big city at night, and how the cool blue on the end of the motorcycle, wasn't over stated, but pronounced enough to give this entire shot a real cyberpunk feeling, perfect for the tone of this series. Also, you are correct, that final scene, one steady camera shot which makes you an observer from the outside, almost voyeuristic, with the quick, not overly dramatic shot out, the guns shots muted in sound, not dominating the scene. I honestly screamed out and pumped my fist in the air the first time I saw this, and immediately scrolled back and re-watched it.
The neon lights says "Lies" at 6:39
This moment right here is where everything gets 100x interesting, in other words the plot just thickens to some degree and the effective delivery of this scene just further proves how the cast and crew are so dedicated to make this form of art possible. Kudos!
