Yo, in some of the pre-mission ship scenes you can see the Ogryn count to four. FOUR! That's Nork Deddogg levels of intelligent! Just imagine what the BONE surgery would do to them. I'd say a solid count to 8, maybe even 9.

They are fanatically loyal to whomever their superior officer is though, because to the Ogryn's simple mind their orders are directly from the Emperor. So if an Ogryn's commander falls to Chaos, the Ogryn will follow them right along because they are that loyal.

I'd love to see the guardsmen ask, "What do we do about that one" and the heretic looks at them crazy like, "My man, that's an OGRYN, we just leave 'em be."

7:48 I desided to take a closer look at the kickback shotgun's shells and this is what I notest: On the back of the shell, it reads: Munitorum 17/20-1057/51 (No idea what those numbers mean). And the shell has Imperium logo on its side (nice).

Very cool, and a very Dan Abnett-y way to start the story too. Nice to see that his handiwork came out so clearly.

At 6:28, I can't help but delight in the orchestra humming softly as the Arbites once more asks whether the Ogryn was, and still is, loyal to His Imperium, and with a soft silence, he simply says. "True" Call them dull, sluggish, abnormal; Ogryns are nothing if not loyalty made flesh and bone, unbreakable.

Good God, the Empire trying to kill ANYTHING with lasguns in cutscenes has the same vibe as me trying to kill synths and power armor enemies in Fallout 4 with a crummy default laser pistol

This is so well done, and all the little details are just right - from the dialogue to the inspirational posters. Love it.

You may be dead fellow but even the dead can still serve. The emperor protects.

It was wonderfull, i wonder how is with the other classes.

I’ve been playing the beta all I can say I buy it if you’ve got a good rig it’s so much fun. And being a big fan of Dan Abnett I can feel his writing style in the dialogue

Apparently they didn't need a voice actor to do an accent or an impression. They just went up north and took a microphone into a Wetherspoons.

I feel the escape craft needed a bit more of a tongue of flame behind it. As it is now it looks like someone is just holding it on a piece of string.

No mod support for this game as it uses dedicated servers rather than player hosting, so modding isn't supported unfortunately. I'm sure there will be Krieger cosmetics though.

No, he doesn't voice the Ogryn. Fatshark confirmed before the beta that while many of the Vermintide voice talent returns in some form or another none of them return as a playable character. Bardin's VA is David Rintoul. The Ogryn voices are by Toby Longworth (The Bodyguard), Greg Jones (The Bully), and Tom Dussek (The Brawler, which this video uses).

As someone who plays Ogryn, this makes me happy

Man I was worried that if I got too excited about this game then it would let me down(too many recent traumas ). But man I really enjoyed that game intro. I like how they framed the story. I love the condemned prisoner turns out to be the chosen one story line if it's done right. Really liked how this started.

1 thing that annoyed me is the utter lack of attempt made by the Nurgle cultist to offer the character to join them and escape off the prison ship, I was at least expecting something along the lines Traitor: "What do we do about that one?" **Traitor Captain steps closer to your characters prison cell** Captain Wolfer: "Want to come with us?" Captain Wolfer: "Even though you are loyal to the throne they were willing to execute you here" Captain Wolfer: "All that loyalty to the imperium and 1 little mistake, places you in a prison ship branding you a heretic and a traitor that will be tortured and executed just like me." Captain Wolfer: "Well? we can help you escape and live free instead of being shackled in a cage waiting to die like an animal." Your character: "I serve the throne" Captain Wolfer: "Hm, very well, the poxers will be here to feed soon enough." This is all I wanted because it's unlike a chaos leader to the very least attempt to gather recruits and expendables from the prison especially with his followers wearing armor and weapons all the while being able to show they can fight against the imperium while at the same time saving them from whatever fate that was in store.
