The only heat is warm blood So pure... So cold Transilvanian hunger Hail to the true, intense vampires A story made for divine fulfillment To be the one's breathing a wind of sorrow Sorrow and fright the dearest katharsis Beautiful evil self to be the morbid count A part of a pact that is delightfully immortal Feel the call freeze you with the uppermost desire Transilvanian hunger, my mountain is cold So pure... I swear, this is one of the best mixes i've ever heard in my entire life. Yes it's very low quality, but the guitars and the bass can be heard at a VERY EQUAL level without the one being too loud from the other and even though the drums can't be heard that much, their percussional fundamentals are still audible which is just fine and the vocals are also fine. Hands down, one of the best black metal mixes ever, it's definitely up there with Burzum's Filosofem

While Punk Rock was a rebellion against society through music, Black Metal is a rebellion against the musical norms themselves. Clean sung vocals, crisp studio quality sounds, and the same tired old lyrics about love found/lost were all things that Black Metal was rebelling against. To many music lovers (myself included) this was a breath of fresh air for the music industry, even if it's underground. If you can't appreciate this style of music, that's fine.

I listen to this track on repeat when I walk a mile or more through heavy snowfall. It helps me just power through it.
Listening to it again, after some time, made me understand its importance; it's truly a hymn,an anthem of Norwegian BlackMetal....and perhaps of all BlackMetal--and I think I got it.👹Today marks 30 years since the release. Great respect, still kicks ass now.
I told my best friend "This is like the Smells Like Teen Spirits of black metal" : it is, right? While Punk Rock was a rebellion against society through music, Black Metal is a rebellion against the musical norms themselves. Clean sung vocals, crisp studio quality sounds, and the same tired old lyrics about love found/lost were all things that Black Metal was rebelling against. To many music lovers (myself included) this was a breath of fresh air for the music industry, even if it's underground. If you can't appreciate this style of music, that's fine. can't get that riff out of my head...it will be stuck forever... \m/
This song makes me chug beer cans and take massive bong rips even more so than normal
This song is perfect in every form. It creates, in my thought, the almost epitome of black metal's musical defenition. Yeah, black metal is an actually quite versatile genre, but every time the term "black metal" comes to mind...this is the first song to come to mind along with it. Amazing stuff. Hail Darkthrone. Hail black metal.
This atmosphere never gets old
This is amazing! It's beautiful and raw at the same time.
one of the best black metal songs ever writen

Whenever I want some mental peace I come back to this video.
Idk why but this gives me peace and calm
So pure... So cold... TRANSILVANIAN HUNGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I learned how to play this entire song very easy and fun cause of the emotion
Because is almost 6 years this video is here, and every listener of good black metal loves this song, IMO
so so good
More than a decade since I listened to this song for the first time and is really mesmerizing and hypnotic., great atmosphere. Most Black metal bands are a joke since 1999 and after.
