Darkstone Review | Diablo's Special Brother

Darkstone is the first RPG I remember playing, I never understood why it was not an absolute success when I was a kid, and after some good research I've discovered that Darkstone never left the huge shadow of Diablo but it's far from being the only one, there was also some things about the advertising campaign, which it is a pitty, I think this game deserves much more than just to be forgotten.
Maybe in the future I will dive into Diablo 1, but being honest, Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 are my main target, if I ever do this.

I used to do the same thing everytime I was back in the town.
I remember playing this game a lot on my Tablet in college. It was a unique and entertaining Dungeon Crawler RPG that didn’t have many boss fights, but it required me to complete each quest in order to get the MacGuffin. A shame that it was removed from the App Store years later, but I do hope that Darkstone will get a remake sometime in 2025, 2026 or 2027.

Definitely have a lot of nostalgia for this game. Played it as a kid and played through it again about 2 years go. It has it's warts but it is especially fun to play coop with a friend. At the time a full 3d Diablo clone was pretty novel and you tell the developers put a lot of love into it.

Yes, it had. This one is the PC version, the PS1 UI is very different from this one
Some feedback, when you use that robot character from some game, I don't think it works very well. You don't do anything with it, like ssethtzeentach does with the black guy, it's just there.

for a short time me and my daughter played this a little bit.. but then the Compatibility monster came and kinda made it too difficult to run. I personally liked it i thought its simple 3d charming.. .. it was better then "Evil Islands"..
