The hit points on this boss is stupid crazy. They could at least show us a gage so we know how much damage we are doing.

Some useful tips: 1) you can't dodge fireballs with the bomb in your hand. This is were you lose the most of your health. It takes a loot of time to put a bomb on her.. So be patient and w8 for the right moment. 2) when B appears you must hit it a loot of times not just once like usually 3) after u performed a good B don't go in close to her it's 2 dangerous, continue 2 hit her with the bumerang 4) only hit her with the sword if SHE IS STUNNED and after she wakes up run the fuck away... Or this will take you forever.. And you just die 20 times

Yeah, not even bosses in a Souls game is this unfair. I was legit ready to like this game, and then Tiamat shows up.

they are hard battles, there is no denying in that, but there is a difference in between being hard because the boss is difficult and hard because the game mechanics make the fight hard. for the most part dark souls bosses are very well thought out fights that require the player to learn the boss in order to win. I don't see the dark souls bosses as unfair fights, it's all about practice and skill

The controls in Darksiders 2 are also a bugger and this is coming from me years after it has been released and has been re-released to the switch. Controls just aren't their strong suit, good thing the game itself is pretty awesome.

My fav boss in the series. Such a great build up to it, great stage and boss design and quality sound effect and music.

Using the ninja star on her takes *AWHILE* but I don't want to risk dying and having to restart.

This was one nasty fight, think I died over 30 times trying to beat this bag. I felt great after I did it.

Am I only one who trow on him about hundread of boms and expecting he will die sooner? :D

Tiamat killed that Heaven Griffin. War's execution was brutal to the very end, RIP Heaven Griffin.

This boss isn't hard in concept, but holy crap you have to have incredible dexterity in order to pull it off on the PC. I had so many rage quits before I beat her (granted I kinda suck at the game, but still...)

Bheithir was easier to beat.

If you play a certain way it can be really easy. You just need to upgrade the right equipment and have the correct play style. If you're having trouble then I recommend a guide of some kind.

I started counting my punches about 3 minutes into fighting with her. I counted over 30 times I countered her rush attack pressed B repeatedly and knocked her back. 30 times? WTF? This was super aggravating. I did beat her but it was pretty ridiculous. The method of aiming is awful , especially if you are trying to run . There are plenty fun and good things about this game, but there are also plenty of aggravating moments as well...

+RoboGameBoy64 At the point of fighting her I had already 3 wrath points (but only 1 health as opposed to the video) and War's wrath attack was so powerful that I only had to punch her once. But the whole bomb-her thing was really awkward

I an such a S#@! gamer. I was in such a hurry to get to this boss battle that I forgot to go back to the vender and buy more upgrades. F#@$.

That's part of what I love about it so much. It's just a really good challenge, and it's one of the best games I've ever played!

6 years ago, for the first time this shit was a pain in the ass.

This battle is hard as long as you have to target her while she is flying, but once she is on the ground, the battle becomes waaay easier.

"War" is just his name. He's really just one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, which is still effing badass.

3: You'll have noticed this if you were paying attention to the video, but apart from her fireballs, all of Tiamat's attacks are surprisingly short ranged. if you know roughly how far they reach, it can be easier to run out of range then try to dodge. Thanks for the video too, I wanted to check if I was doing it right, and that helped me learn how to avoid her fireballs in the later stage of the fight. P.S. might be me, but I can't avoid her swoop in apocalyptic without being at the side.

The boss I died the most on, but one of the most epic.

Its been literally been a whole year before I picked thos game back up. It only took 3 tries amd I finally got her!!

Defeated second time on apocalyptic mode. Hardest part is getting him on the ground to initiate the second stage. When he's on the ground just hit him a few times after the icon sequence and retreat. Rinse and repeat. Patience is the key

the rest is peanuts go in where the shard was blocking the way and theres a lever pull it, run directly across the bridge and theres another lever pull it they both raise angels with shards to hit, hit them both and the door opens

You have an extra life bar? Damn, I must have missed some shards D=

Pres right stick - targetting mode Then right trigger - charge/release throwing blade Left trigger - mark flames/bombs

When I fought her, the only real issue was to aim the Crossblade at the braziers and her in time before she flew away; when she fights on the ground, all you really have to do is to go completly berzerk when she is down...and get the heck out of her reach when she strikes back, because that sure is with a menace! Still, be careful at the last part where she begins using her claws; they have a long range, and cannot be blocked (as far as I know). Also, her death is, well, brutally gory...

Fun fact: Tiamat was voiced by the same person who voiced Bubsy in Bubsy 3D.

tiamat is really easy.once it falls down twice by your sticky bombs,ground battle will start.the trick is to remain at the edge of the circular platform.keep maximum distance possible.now charge up your blades and aim for the mouth.if it gets close dash to the other edge.it will jump and fall back.but it will never jump on the edges.now there will be a cutscene type of thing and it will run towards you if press O in ps3.repeat these steps 12 15 times.and there you go

A game is awesome when it's hard because it's even more exciting and fun when you manage to beat it!

Well, not in this case because the boss is relatively weak whereas aiming is chalanging; hence not so satisfying in my opinion.

@vidzftw You need to use the bombs to blow up the red walls. At one point you have a bomb dispenser and a fire bomb attatched to the wall, What you need to do there is make a line of bombs going from red wall to the fire bomb, hit the fire bomb. Also dont throw your weapon at the statues until they are both there. and when they are both there make sure to hit them both at same time. (Target both then release trigger). Hope this helps

Wow awesome and very nice quality as well. Hmm... would you put up the other major boss fights as well? Btw on which difficulty are you playing?

A couple of pointers for folks based on my recent experience with this game. 1: if you stick to the edge of the area when she swoops down and rakes it with her claws, it's a lot easier to avoid. I haven't been hit once since figuring that out. 2: if you're on computer, your sensitivity setting are messed up to begin with. Big time. I would tweak them till your comfortable if you haven't already. that makes the aiming for the sticky bombs MUCH easier. Continuing...

Everyone saying that this is a difficult boss fight ( I mean it is arguably the hardest boss) however that’s only on console , I redownloaded the game on PC (steam sales) and it only took me two tries on apocalyptic difficulty to beat her

You have so many combos, and more life then I do. I'm stuck at this battle now, and regret never making more then one save file. Can't go back and buy stuff or else this would be much easier. Damn :/

If you dash in front of the fireball at the wrong time .. you will get hit. It doesnt hurt to use stone skin ablility when she is flying right at you with her claws. It takes a while to figure out her moves but when you do it will be worth it. You have to wait till she pauses after she lets out those 3 fireballs first before you pick up bomb and throw it on her... If you don't wait until she pauses then you wont be able to use dash to get away from the projectile attack. Hope this helps. :D

The first thing I said when I heard Tiamat's voice was this: "You really should get that checked out. You sound like your esophagus is full of jagged rocks."

having a ridiculous time trying to get my crossblade to target Tiamut after it targets one of the bonfires

use War's chaos and its easy. for the first part, throw the ball to just where his tail reaches his body. the ball will go through the fire and explode right away. also he has a delay every 3 fireballs. do that twice and when he falls, u use chaos twice and hit him a few times and he is done. also, when he is swooping down use r to dash to the corner. come out just a little bit from the corner again, and as soon as he swoops, dash to the corner again. after 3 times he starts using fire again.

The only memory I have of this game is me not beating Tiamat

Been at this for some time, I can;t do that first part with the bombs very consistently. tried Mouse and 360 pad, but it's dodging the claw attacks I really can't do :(

This was hard as fuck!! the throwing mechanics in this game are frustrating. But this bosses saving grace is that its very cool looking. the stormy atmosphere fighting a huge bat demon very cool indeed.

Ive only played this game a day and actually love it, just looking on some Tiamat videos to see if its actually possible to dodge his scraping claws attack...lol

I finally did this a second time (last time was 15 months ago, so I didn't remember anything about this boss). After 3 deaths, I realized that you cannot be greedy on attacks. Attack a few time and get back to see what Tiamat's going to do next.

I had no idea people found this boss so hard 0_o I nailed her on the second try

i suggest pressing F to get into constant "focus mode" as i like to call it. Its very useful because you dont have to aim with the crossblade attacks and dont have to keep pressing shift all the time.

At first this boss was pretty hard to beat, but then I figured out what to do and I defeated her. Here is how you can win... Everytime she is flying in the air she lets out 3 fire ball blast at you and then she pauses. You must Dash in front of the fireball at the rigth time so it can go right above you.. if you dash to the side.. you will only get hit. When she pauses pick up a bomb and throw it at her and make it blow up with your flying blade.

So angry with not being able to beat tiamat, i searched in the search bar "how to fucking beat tiamat"

does anyone else have the invisible pillar problem? so frustrating when she destroys the pillar, if you throw your bomb too early then it sticks to the invisible pillar.

I thought I was missing out on some sort of gimmick because of the amount of times I had to hit O to fight her off. Turns out you have to just keep hitting her until she dies and never stop.

Took 5 times for me at normal difficulty, I had to change from console control to mouse/keyboard for easier control. But it was fun indeed!

I lost to this boss like 20 times before winning really easily. I hate when that happens. The trick is to stay on him when he's down and he won't even charge you.

btw I did the second form almost solely with the boomerang thing... too afraid to come that close to the beast. It takes ages to do it with the boomerang man, but I hardly got hit

if you dont know what tactics to use it really is, I had to restart around 10 times until i got her...

on the steam version the sticky bombs wont stick to him and the glaive keeps failing to target /lock or even throw .. THIS IS END BOSS ON STEAM AS CANNOT EVEN FIGHT IT

I'm kinda stuck on this part :S but then again, I'm a n00b. Plus I'm on PC, is it easier with a controller on keyboard?

I get more problems with the perspective of the camera than the actual task.

OMFG! This is harder than the final battle with zeus in god of war III in chaos mode. Who knows what awaits me after this...

Got this second try on apocalyptic on ps3. Used this guide when the animal was on the second form because I was afraid there might be a third one after finding out how to beat the first 2 forms... But yeah, there wasn't. Look like it's alot harder on PC because it is really is my time I'm playing darksiders, so I don't have that special armour yet tot absorve more dammage. I love this game, it's hack and slash with alot of elements of zelda: ocarina of time, which is my favorite game ever

took me 40 mins and i didn't even die! just kept running around throwing the shuriken thing until it was stunned. Can't wait until i try this on apocalyptic!

Started right on Apocapyptic, and I only have the standard health, which means one health rune. I think I'll be stuck here for quite a few tries.

i just were really careful... took some time but if you keep dashing when she comes for u and then dash back to hit her it works. the air part is very straight forward ofcourse... but on land you just have to keep dashing

war - darksiders, without question

There have some doors,got to any of them and you will find a sword and then try another,everytime some creatures will appear and one mini boss too,not too hard.just look around in every room you will be able to solve all riddles

you must get close to tiamat once she is on the ground and unsconscious and use blade geyser twice. this should do the trick :). also keep using dash to avoid her attacks.

don't know why, but i can't open a blue gate before tiamat. it leads to a stairway to get to the top of a building. any help would be great.

Hey, how'd you get two skulls over your health bar? I just beat this boss and went and turned the heart in and I still have only one skull. Is it something you buy from the merchant guy?

This fight is ridiculously difficult.

I remember, my 3rd try i got knocked down to 1 hp for the whole 2nd phase and didnt have any heal items And i beat them still

at first i was like "yeah" but when i got to Tiamat i was like ":) im fucked" been 2 hours trying to beat that stupid bat :/

Annoying as fuck though, if you are playing on the highest difficulty. I decided to, ON MY FIRST PLAYTHROUGH. I died like, 10+ times to this thing.

Got so angry I punched the wall and brokemy hand.

My mouse lags in-game (don't know why) so I use touchpad, and that combined with th awkward controls made this a bit difficult at first xD I finally messed with the key mappings for something that works for me. Hooray for key mappings! :D
