I used to get drunk, come home, and start up dark souls at late in the morning and leave it on this screen, excited to start a new character and game….then pass out 😂

It took me a while to realize that for the player to go hollow, it would mean giving up on your game and never coming back to it. Then your character would just be another hollow around a lonely bonfire.

Another metaphor to think about is the fact that no matter what you will always go hollow some day. No matter how many times you relight the flame it never ends.

Majula and both BB themes are also amazing. On a different vibe Raya lucaria, limgrave, limgrave fight, stormveil... All glued into my memory, you know when you're waiting for that certain bar to hit thats like pure dopamine I dunno these games fill me with so much nostalgia for some reason. Each one feels 10 years older than it is and kinda makes me feel like a kid again 😂.

I went into it because of this game, I want to make cool games and make something I am proud off and love, but I find university keeping me away from it. I miss you dark souls, no matter how many times you pissed me off and made me want to throw my controller out the window but did not (controllers are expansive lol) I miss you

Its called Life. Wait til you have children & a good job, you will be preoccupied to your gills! HOWEVER, Dark Souls then would be come a retreat, repose from life! It will make you more focused and more inclined to solve problems in your life! It will for perseverance into your existance! you will be inclined to workout, eat health, maintain a healthy relationship with you spouse, tend to your children and improve ... just like in the game! you level up in real life to face adversity ... but first you need to ''SEEK STRENGH ... the rest will follow''

This music is heavenly to me. From the moment I heard it, something in my brain clicked. Its ability to soothe me and take me into a reflective state beyond the state of the natural is astonishing. It brings me to another world of safety and wonder, I'll always remember this song.

This song and the re1 remake remind me of my ex who died last year. I think about her everyday and have been for almost 7 years.

Man i remember back in 2013 when xbox made it free for xbox live gold. Opened up a whole world for me😢

This and souls of mist are 2 great meditative songs. Demons and Dark Souls just had that "feel" to them that no other game did. The music, ui, bosses, especially, aesthetic, ambience, sounds, etc. It feels magical and safe. Really soothes you before 2 brutal gaming experiences. Art.

yo lo tuve 1 años entero en el pc sin tocarlo no me habia llamado la atención el juego, cuando no tenia nada que jugar tomé éste juego, ah sido de las mejores experiencias singleplayer, lo menosprecié por la pinta y casi me lo pierdo
