dark souls 3 is a joke with the fact almost every melee move is parryable and the mere fact that bosses can be parried at all... You can parry the last boss of the game like 3-5 times to kill him

I literally started a run like this after finishing sekiro, never cared enough to make it that far, nice to see someone else had the same idea

This is simultaneously the most beautiful and sickening thing I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine the effort and time it took to pull this off. Amazing.

This also shows you how well Sekiro would fare if he were to be transported into any of the Souls worlds. He's easily one of the strongest FS characters ever, canonically (too bad that he's not when I control him, Dragonrot everywhere 😂).

@@Joevic225 its more of a redirection of trajectory type of deal, which doesnt need that much force. NOT saying there isnt some dumb attacks one shouldnt be able to parry like that dragonslayer armors swing coming from the right to left compared to the standard left to right or up down. Updog.

Obviously he did not show the "behind the scenes" video to learn the enemy attacks and perfect timing to parry, so he would look like just another player trying to get good in the game like many of us. This is the end result of redoing the same boss multiple times.

Sadly, there are very few bosses you can actually parry in Dark Souls 3, unlike in Sekiro. But since Sekiro came after Dark Souls 3, it gives me hope that Elden Ring will have a really good combat system.

Sword Saint was by FAR the most difficult Fromsoft boss for me so far. It took me a month of trying for a couple hours a night. Ofc, after I figured him out, I never had a problem with him again.

@@JohnDoe-ws4iu Parrying in DS3 is weirdly hard. I was a parry god in Ds1 and I never quite got it working well enough in DS3. The best way I can explain it is that you parry the arm not the weapon. There are great guides on youtube if you search for them. Also, not all enemies have parryable moves. And not all moves are parryable for those enemeis who have parryable moves. Its tricky. In general, if the enemy is humanoid and has a weapon you can get, it has at least one parryable move. I find that the best training is to find an enemy near a bonfire and just practice dying to them. Good luck!

@@arnoldkotlyarevsky383 Yeah, it was the same for me in DS1 as it's for you. The timing for parry in DS3, it's a bit off, for me. I experimented with different kind of shields but never really get the hang of the timing. That changed when I found the uchigatana. To me, the parry timing of katana is the same as medium shield in DS1, which I mainly use. I never parry with shields in DS3 ever since. Katana parry feels right at home.

Jesus, that was beautiful. I couldn't even hit a parry with the Buckler to save my life.

If you want to start figuring out basic parry I recommend practicing on the stairs between Vordt and Dancers boss rooms. Those enemies are good for picking it up from my experiece.

He needs to be the Elden Ring version of the almost naked swordsman near firelink shrine. Just an NPC with hardly any equipment, yet somehow really hard to kill.

@@evildogger7109 most of humanoid long range charged attacks in ds3 can be parried: champion gundyr, pontiff, pointy hat to name a few

The way you not only made mince meat out of hard bosses, but on almost non-existent health too, is next level! You made Champion Gundyr, a boss that took me ages to beat, look easier than Ludex Gundyr, lol. Man, I've been playing on hard mode this entire time, by being shit, lmao.

@@Alex-kb4ve It's not. Because if he was hit, he would retry the entire fight anyway. If you are trying to perfect a boss, doesn't matter if you are at 1% or 100% of your health bar, any hit would make you retry.

That's because parrying sux in ds3. I'll parry for days in Bloodborne and DS1 but I can barely parry basic enemies in 3.

the twin princes are my favorite boss I remember putting my sign there and helped like 30 people to farm my sunlight medals and I didn't know they could be parried

it seems that old samurai left of the fire shrine finally got tired of doing nothing all day
