You're playing on a new game with a new character after completing the game for the first time, you stumble upon an area you haven't seen before, and you notice what is most likely a boss arena below you. You can even faintly see a small figure standing alone inside. You prepare yourself for a potentially tough fight, and drop into the arena. As you approach the lone figure, you begin to feel a sense of...familiarity And this is made clear when you finally come face to face with the figure, you are shocked at what you see. *...It's your previous character.* The music kicks in as they apply a buff to their best weapon, and proceed to slowly stride toward you. Their healthbar and title appearing at the bottom of the screen, which reads: *Champion of Ash*

Dude, Fromsoft should totally do that in a future game. I know 3 is the last Dark Souls, but that would be incredible for a Bloodborne or Sekiro 2, or hell maybe a new IP altogether.

with the way soul level scaling works in 3, someone could probably mod it so that your other characters can invade as npcs in some areas. im not a modder myself but im sure it's possible if someone with those skills put their mind to it.

Imagine fighting Gael with something like this playing

The original was Intense. The Cover was badass. Who knew such a simple little edit could then make this so... so... well, speechless, I guess!

This arrantment is superb. Most metal cover songs of soundtracks are just simple guitar versions but your cover adds something to the already exquisite original song.

Bro both songs individually are beautiful. But together creates a new Lord of Cinder. Together this is remarkable.

idk why I cant help but feel this to be more of a Guts theme (From Berserk by Miura), knowing where the horror melancholy inspiration of dark souls came from and combining it back with wrath described by metal. As if it came full circle in this track.

Really cool idea to overlay the two. Sounds good. I'd probably tighten the HPF on the original theme a bit, but I'm that kind of nitpicker so don't take it as strong critique. :) Easily one of the most beautiful games ever made, and quite deserving of musical tributes.

YES EPIC....FUNNY made it all the way here from dark souls vids of people making fun of the moans...I never played cause when I heard it in college from my roommate I was like nope... looks like a distraction but I never realized how cool the music can be...this makes the game seem less masochistic and more fight focused

1.25 speed is awesome

Bubble not bursted, good sir! Obviously the focus of your mix was on the guitar & drum parts so the original had to be buried - I was ambivalent on whether you'd used the original or pads in fact. I just gave both a touchup with various automation / EQing / mastering (your mix was sounding a little thin on my soundsystem) and combined the two to bring out the orchestral parts and give it a somewhat more Fleshgod epicness. Like I said though, full credit to both you for the awesome reimagining and Kitamura for the original. Keep putting out solid tunes!
