i love ds3, but pontiff been a shittier place at least on pc. the only legit players left is me, sht_shw, hesa and gary abusey and perhaps few more. the rest of pontiff try hards has cheat engine running possibly many things. from subtle cheats, malicious cheats. they would toggle if you beating them too hard. luckily i play on different timezone than these maniacs. i never run CE during Invasion, nor hosting. only use one to restock items outside both activities. ELDEN RING has Fundamental issue as Emotional jon Points out in his videos. it won't be fixed! just play ELDEN RING as normal PVE Game.

Is it bad that I saw "Invading XBox" and _knew_ the joke was gonna be zero activity? Lmao Also, shout-out to the unscaled phantoms in High Wall, the dragon head armour twinks in Cathedral that take 10 damage from a +2 great club, and prop hunt hosts in Crucifixion that hide in literally always the exact same place and DC or commit gravity when you whop them through their twink setups. This game is a beautiful mess, and while I'm too terrified to go past level 75, I'll never forget the amazing times I've shared with people in Lothric. Also, the 4× Exile/Knights with PK _sent_ me and I had to rewind LMAO

Seeing the R1 spam with daggers, curved swords and straight swords brings back so many bad memories.

Conclusion : I don't regret quitting this. Had good times, in the game and on KZread but well, all good things must come to an end :3

I only discovered souls in late summer 2020, and was too in awe playing all the games offline to really bother with PVP. I really regret that. ER is kinda shitty in several ways, doesn't capture that special mood souls did. DS3 looks like a crap chute nowadays but I still love seeing its state in 2024. Thanks for this, nice editing and music too. Noticing a lot of community deeplore, rivalries, old wars, etc. in the comments section that I was not expecting. I really did miss something special back then.

125-139 is the most active but mainly just pontiff and woods

Pc is very active lvl 60. And lvl 125 i got constant arena duels. Game seems very active . Was playing last week

It’s been a few months but I got a fair amount of activity on Xbox, I sit in the swamp at SL125 waiting for invaders while my covenant is either set to Aldrich faithful or spear or the church, I’ve gotten decent games on both and even made some new friends.

Lvl 80 is good for casual invasions in Lothric Castle / Consumed King’s Garden and Untended Graves but if you want to sweat then try SL 125 / 139

As busted as this game was, it still felt more balanced than the current state of ER. I gave up invading in ER after a few months. I had some success, but the incessant projectile and L2 spam just made it boring to me so quickly.

Xbox when you do get invasions is pretty fun but among the 10 of us that play we just moatly fc

Dark Souls 2 is like the only game in the series with actual functional good PvP the rest have been absolute trash. Dueling in this game was "okay" but as someone who likes to invade this is the worst PvP souls game for Invaders Dark Souls 2 and Elden Ring are the only one where you can squeeze out a win but that's just how I feel anyways. You don't PvP in DS3 because you love yourself you PvP because you hate yourself ask me how I know.

At some point we meta-gamed so hard that we gaslit ourselves into thinking Dark Souls 3 was a fighting game, and not a 30-hour long Action RPG that just happens to have PvP that takes place as part of the PvE. Gank Souls 3: The Level Fades Edition\

Okay heres the lay out: CS Guard and strike (spears) Stunlock splitleaf glitch (use dagger on them), hackers (ledges using force, if cant be killed....or anything...theyll teleport.. at that point just leave. Spammed Spells: Spell Parry shield, Four pronged: Need close range, Bow glitch combo: Daggers, Murky or Hand Scythe: Bait a parry. backstabs?: Dragon Scale Ring. Force: Poise, Poise: Backstabs, Shields: Scythes even Horse Ring and Iron Slayer Ring, Heavy Weight: Havels Ring. All hopefully covered for fighting.

Ds3 was the shit man. Everything about it was so fun. I still find people on playstation in this game still

On PSN, we keep the 60 +6 scene pretty alive for the most part. We hang around pontiff mostly but you can get activity pretty consistently anywhere from 40-80 in my experience. If you come to pontiff at 60 in the afternoon EST you'll run into us eventually.

Ds3 pvp is better cause there’s no gankers, and if there are, you at least have the possibility of getting one or more other invaders to help. If ED were to allow at least one more player it’d be soooo much better. In terms of weapons and mechanics, ds3 is more balanced by not having too many op attacks/spells. And the second reason why DS3 is better than ED is cause throwing poop is easier. I hate crafting pots
