The small man heard the sound of the massive doors below him opening. It was time again. He stood up slowly, picking up his bow from beside him on the rooftop. He slotted one of the massive arrows that he made onto the string and pulled it back, the muscles in his shoulders pulling it and holding it easily, and waited. He could no longer remember why he did this. It was his job, that he knew, but he couldn't remember why he had started doing it. The trespassers had to be stopped. They were not allowed to cross the bridge. That was all. The black cloth covering his face moved slightly as he breathed, the only movement on the rooftop. He could be mistaken for another statue from a distance, should they happen to glance his way, and for all he knew, he might have been. He didn't know his own name. He didn't know where he had come from. All he knew was his mission and his bow. There. They had started across the bridge, two of them, one of them glowing gold. That one didn't matter. It would vanish when the other was dead. He slowly exhaled, and when his lungs were empty, loosed his shot. The massive arrow hurtled through the air like a bolt from the heavens and impaled the not glowing one in its side, hurling it off the edge. He heard a scream, and then a loud thud cut it short. It was done. He set his bow down gently, and then sat back down on the roof, closing his eyes. He slept, but no dreams came to him. What was there to dream about, when he knew nothing but this?

Timing is key, especially at a far distance shooting a second early before their in your sights gives you a better shot at actually hitting your target

How long did it take you to make this? It's incredible how many people cower at a bonfire with their multitude of summons as soon as an invasion starts. I don't think I've ever seen hosts so brave before.

In my experience, hosts are more likely to progress through the area when they have at least one phantom with them. They will also move forward when they think an area is safe, so the Obscuring Ring helps a lot.

Have you tried shooting from the Giant Archer's Tower? What a surprise for those with the friendship branch. I don't know if it is possible, but if it is I think you have the skill to pull it off wonderfully.
