Dark Sonic is Technically Super Sonic but Utilizing the "Negative" Power of the Chaos Emeralds, and as this Transformation is based on Anger and Uncontrol, many think that it is stronger than the Super Form,But if you take into account that Both Transformations Draw their Powers from the same Source (Chaos Emeralds), we can consider that both Possess the same level of Power, but Super Sonic Dark Sonic is Sonic who is most aware of what he is going to do, whereas Dark Sonic is Sonic completely in a state of Anger or Anger who is "Totally" or "Almost Totally" out of control. Dark sonic is MUCH,MUCH weaker than super sonic because he is using the negative energy of the chaos emeralds while super sonic is using positive energy who is much stronger in fact chaos using 6 chaos emeralds with negative energy lost to sonic's base form in the adventure series and lost to base sonic in generations on his perfect form, he being a mutated chao in the highest level of power possible for it powered up by infinity times 6 lost to a base form and later on perfect chaos lost to sonic's BASE FORM. Negative energy of the emeralds are weak as fuck bro.

Ahora, las esmeraldas que uso Dark Sonic son esmeraldas falsas con mucho menos poder que una normal. De hecho, en los juegos ya se ha mostrado que el poder negativo de las esmeraldas se queda años luz atrás del poder positivo de estas, digo, Perfect Chaos alcanzó ese estado con la energía negativa de las esmeraldas, y en Sonic generations Sonic lo venció en estado base sin un potenciador. Por lo que ni loco Dark Sonic llegará a ser superior a Súper Sonic.

I can explain why if you want. Extreme summarization: Dark Sonic is just Dark Chaos, Super Sonic. The reason people consider him to be more powerful, is because of his brutal nature. But he is probably only as powerful as Super Sonic. I can go into more detail if you want, this is just the least I could summarize it to.

@@complete8423 If you go into more detail you'll only use fandom logic. I'll explain why Super Sonic is superior real quick. 1. Tails referred to the positive energy of the Chaos Emeralds as "the true power of the Chaos Emeralds" in Sonic Adventure. 2. Super Sonic can cancel out negative energy, which is what he did to Perfect Chaos. This was stated in the games as well as the manual. 3. Sonic easily defeated a being of pure negative energy (Perfect Chaos) without the need of a Super form in Sonic Generations. 4. Everytime the Emeralds' negative energy has been used, the Emeralds became useless (they were drained). This means that the Emeralds ONLY have unlimited positive energy, while their negative energy is limited. 5. The official and canon Dark Sonic in the games is basically Sonic the Werehog, who was clearly inferior when compared to Super Sonic in absolutely every aspect. 6. There's a clear misconception here. Dark Sonic is NOT Super Sonic + negative energy. It's just Sonic + negative energy. Super Sonic is only a positive energy form, which cannot be combined with negative energy as Super Sonic is the opposite to it and he can even cancel it out. 7. The Emeralds used for Dark Sonic's only appearance were fake Chaos Emeralds and their power was nothing compared to the real Chaos Emerald power. Earlier in the Sonic X show, we saw Shadow trying to use a Chaos Control with one of them, and while he succeeded, the fake Emerald disappeared forever, getting destroyed. That's right, they were Emeralds that couldn't even handle a Chaos Control. Even though there were hundreds of them when Sonic went Dark, infinity is still better than 100. And even if they were real Chaos Emeralds, as I explained in the previous points, Dark Sonic would still be worse than Super. Notice that I only used canon and official information. The only things that would support your theory of Dark Sonic being better are fan-made games and animations. Dark Sonic is cool and that's it. Using Dragon Ball logic such as rage making him more powerful is pointless.

Well he only stops at Super forms if he is regular Dark Sonic (with his Pupils and green eyes still there), but if he is Dark Super Sonic (where all but the Blank Eyes, the Gloves and Shoes are completly black, you can't even see his Mouth or stomach anymore) then it's basically Super Sonic, amped with his Rage and Dark State
