Ofc if they're trying to bring out some better in you, u should apply their suggestions but if you really think their nature is toxic, then u need to ignore all tht and start thinking about something else And to cheer up myself, i keep a personal diary where i release all my stress and listen to music. You can try this too, maybe it'll help

Going through same 😖😞 literally same thing My father today said to my mother , to teach me cooking and there's no future of mine in studying just because I argued with him when he told me to do something but I had to study 😭 I am really feeling as if I am in hell I want to escape this home this has become a prison. Even my mom is not supporting 😶 This ego of him will surely destroy me, he don't even want i study. I have seen many parents treating their topper child in much respectful way and I am also a nerd who really want to study so hard to crack JEE, boards and prove myself , I can work hard I want to but MINE PARENTS ARE REALLY TOXIC, they don't want me to study I am in 10th, I want to crack JEE but I know they won't let me study peacefully. I will lost my dreams due to them and they behave as if they are the best parents but I am the one character less out there who doesn't deserve to be happy or they mean I am not happy by my choice . I have nothing to do I can just see my future ruining and still I will have to smile because nobody really feels or understands . Everyone thinks parents are always right always in our benefit but NO only someone going through this can understand I am sorry for wasting your time, just I don't have anyone , friends or any close to me to share this , just crying and writing whatever goes in my mind. This situation cannot be overcome because parents can say child is bad but child cannot say parents are bad , any child cannot do anything only bear this . I wish you bright future and pray to god that your father soon get you ❤️ My father never will, he is outcome of some sin by me in my previous life maybe😞

Father's won't understand our pain, but we do understand our pain. well some parents might be toxic, but to judge them like that one must know them well. and in your scenario u know your father better than anyone else. Actually I would like to share a story I recently passed class 10th and my results were kinda satisfactory to me and my both of the parents And all I asked was an I phone And that too not even the latest I phone I asked for I phone 13.... Which Costs around 52 something and my dad refused to give me the phone I know it's not that of a big deal but that means a lot to me.... Because I recently passed 10th with good marks and he didn't say directly no they said that they will give me I phone when I will score even good marks in 11th halfyearly examination...... I mean if you don't want to give me the phone just say it at least I will not hope for it and everytime you will break my hope..... And my dad always puts his work at the first place and no matter what he always have to interfere his work anywhere and everywhere...... And it's not like he can't afford and it's not even like we are broke he is just brainwashed by Facebook shit where some illiterate people gives shitty parenting advice like don't fulfill every requirement of your child it will spoil them and shit like that and it's not like a phone will spoil me and it's also not like I am demanding it it's more of like I deserve it.......and I think it's a shitty thing to do to your own child my dad never takes us to vacation and we all need a break from here but no he can never fulfill the most tiniest and petite things I think at this point he failed real bad as a father
