Oh my god I was furious as well. I started to hate her at that moment while yelling profanity at my TV. I wanted her to freeze. She did confess that she messed up and talked about her training of the box pilots. I almost forgave her for a second, but I was still too pissed off. We’ll see if she can earn my forgiveness in the future episodes.

When they opened the door to the world with no atmosphere and the sun falling to earth, i had a legit panic attack. Im going to have nightmares tonight. Amanda was like F THIS I GOT TO GET OUTTA HERE. 😂😂😂😂

The only issues here; with a negative atmosphere on the other side of their door... their door would have stayed stuck or blown away from them, NOT towards them. Not to mention with no atmosphere and the sun being that close, they'd likely have received a fatal dose of radiation along with being blasted in the face with infrared radiation equivalent to 7000°F. I.e. there's no more Jason or Amanda. That or the story will cover their next 5 days huddled in a corner dying of radiation sickness and 3rd degree burns. But plot armor, so they won't 😉. Sorry to add to your panic attack, but it's just a fictional TV show, you'll be ok!

Their roles in the show have been greatly expanded. The book is mostly centered around Jason, and the corridor worlds are further explored. I don't remember a twin storyline. Jason did sleep with artist Daniella that night. Can't wait to watch how it plays out!

If anyone has seen the German show Dark on Netlifx, the trailer alone should draw you in. If anyone has seen the show Counterpart that aired on Showtime, this show has many parallels. Jennifer Connelly is a great add coming off of Top Gun. Joel Edgerton is fantastic in this role. Imagine waking up one day and the world as you know it has changed. If you are into shows that are mind bending, this is the show for you. There is a mixture of suspense, drama, and thrill. With no spoiling of the ending, Dark Matter takes you on a journey of a man who is devoted to his family, but wakes up one day and he has no family.

Max will be Jaye's undoing. Not being present for the families moment at Max's tree is quite telling seeing it is something they do every year on Charlie's birthday. Buying Charlie a car without discussing it with Daniella is another rash error. When Jaye spoke to Daniella about the investment for his research he mentioned the reason he never pursued it years back was because he chose to stay to support Daniella and Charlie. He failed to mentioned Max. Big slip up. I am enjoying Dark Matter so far. I used to watch Sliders a lot years back and I have always been looking for another sci-fi show that would be the next to raise the bar on this sci-fi/physics concept. Fringe did a fabulous job some years after Sliders and then there was another drought for multidimensional sci-fi. There were a few other shows but they did not sell the concept as well and were short lived. The Netflix Parallels pilot was one example of great potential that ended up getting cancelled. Dark Matter once again brings multidimensional sci-fi back to the TV and in a very entertaining way. There are questions and some potential plot holes but I have been hooked so far. There is so much that can branch out from this recent episode. The Leighton in the world where Amanda and Jason never escape might also enter the box after seeing Amanda's double in their lab. Jaye's Leighton (injured) might unwittingly figure out the navigation if his mind focuses on one location while at his most desperate state. Did Jason's Leighton leave his wealth to Jaye and take a one way trip in the box to reunite with his grandfather on another Earth? Has Daniella seen and heard enough to be onto to Jaye? Roll on next Wednesday.

Yeah, a parent of a lost child wouldn't just forget them like that, especially when it's their birthday. The look on her face said it all. Jason2 definitely wants to have both lives at the same time, making hard and fast changes without thinking it through. He seems like he would probably try to find Amanda in that world to have an affair with. Marvel and DC movies have been playing with the multiverse idea with varying success. I remember Sliders and watched Fringe. I've heard Counterpart was good, but only lasted 2 seasons.

@@TwinFlyDSW It looks like it's going to be straight chaos from here on out. Every decision they are making now are going to create new realities, we already saw that with the alternate versions of Amanda and Jason where they didn't make it to the box... I don't know if they are going to focus on it that deep, but I kind of hope not because it could make it way messier. I'm watching the newest episode at 8pm. At the end of this episode, the first thing I thought about was being able to visit the lost. It would be just too tempting, I think Jason would want this just as much. One part that annoyed me was when Jason figured out that “thinking” was the controls to maneuver around the Multiverse box and while he was reminiscing his life after surviving the “ice age verse” they could have taken the serum and just open another door back to his verse. I understand he was emotional, but damn it Jason, it just seemed so easy right there. Hopefully next episode make it that easy, or show why it won’t be that easy.

I'm trying to make sense of Amanda's actions in this episode that other people are questioning. My best guess for standing too long watching herself die is with what she's seen & knows Leighton is capable of, while also trying to maintain a conscience, it was a freak out moment for her. Also if anything, Jason should've pulled her sooner into the box as well. Regarding her stepping out into the tundra, she even says she couldn't be in the box any longer watching one doomsday after another. This tundra was related to a memory for her. So after a long time in the box & constantly venturing into the terrifying unknown, this tundra was at least a familiar experience for her mindset.

Using actual knowledge of quantum physics and theory of relatively , basing conductors and theoretical metals as it's drive and consciousness as the navigation is genius and I am almost inspired to pursue this based on my own theories and using this as the base. This is probably, so far , the best thought out series of any story that I've ever had the privilege of viewing . Love science and the possibilities using quantum physics, because everything is because of it to my understanding . Life without the thread of life wouldn't be possible . And with the knowledge of how vibrations manipulate existence using radio frequency as measurement is what makes things possible . Impressive . I look forward to seeing the entire season , I'd already have been finished if all episodes were out in one day. @@jaimemunoz5920 In the first episode where he's describing the cat. The whole idea is the cat exists both alive and dead simultaneously meaning the box exists in all worlds simultaneously as well. It was only needed to be created in one, hence why it exists in all of them including the ones where life can't exist in. It's in superposition, existing in all realities at the same time even ones where it wasn't created because the creation of it caused that split to begin with.

I think they rely a lot on the watcher having read the book as they leave out details that would be nice to know. Such as I was confused by both Jasons having the same house in both realities when a bachelor would probably buy a different house than a married couple would. But, in the book it says Jason bought that house when he was in college so that explains that. It would have been nice to throw us a bone and let us know that. I did not read the book but my wife skimmed it to figure that detail out. Also, does the box appear when you open a door? How does it appear? Where does the material come from? If Amanda went 1 mile down the corridor away from Jason and then opened a door, would they both still end up in the same box? How did Jay get Jason into the box in the alternate reality without Jay ending up in the box himself?

@@AvgYTdweller Yeah but they would both have to have been in the box when Jason came out and anyone else at Velocity would have noticed Jay. Yeah, I know its a TV show and all but it's a writing issue. @@AvgYTdweller Even so. Jay would need to re-close the box to get back to Jason's reality. It seems the box is pretty well guarded and I think someone would have noticed if it closed back up especially right after Jason emerged after 14 months. Since no one mentioned that, it does not seem to be the case. Not to mention that if it were me, I would have wanted the box fully examined for clues as to how Jason got back.

I honestly believe that sounds ridiculous… it’s not her world, reality (not yet anyway) or even her life ! What would possess her to leave the life she has with her husband and son and established friendships to be selfish enough to try and replace that with 2.0s especially after finding out that your husband as already been replaced. I think the writers have bigger plot twist stirring up

The glaring flaws in logic (even with heavy doses of disbelief suspension) are irritating. Open door to world without atmosphere, air stays in box. Box works by completely isolating interior from outside world, GPS signals get through. Escape world where all the buildings are crumbling around them, they feel safe back in the box. Box supposedly in the same location in every world, elevation doesn't matter. Like with so many shows, the writers seem to lack critical thinking skills.

To be honest, this series has a very weak script, the characters and their actions are too narrow-minded for science fiction, so far the plot is driven and greatly stretched by stupid actions. The idea is not original, we have seen different variations of its execution in many different works, I would like to hope that it will get better, because so far it is rather weak.

You may disagree, but I see Jaye as the hero. Jason was miserable and did not appreciate what he had. Jaye realized the value of what he had missed out on and is making Jason wake up and appreciate what he had. Jason's relationship with Daniella was in the crapper, but Jaye came in, appreciated her, and salvaged it. When Amanda asked Jason about his relationship with Daniella, he lied and said it was good. Amanda lacks common sense, and so does Jason. Amanda's constantly running away and freaking out. Jason broke a window in frozen snow world and immediately put Amanda in a blanket next to the open window. She's never going to warm up in that room, Jason. Jaye's Leighton is Evil and Jaye and Amanda both know they need to get TF away from him. He did not care when Jaye's Daniella was murdered. He doesn't care about his missing/dead employees. Jason's Leighton is rudderless and Jaye is giving him an opportunity at happiness. Jaye is thrilled having a life with Charlie and Daniella and Jaye wants to make them happy (car for Charlie, art for Daniella, wealth for both). Similar to Jason, Charlie and Daniella are moping about what they don't have (Max) and don't appreciate what they do have (they are actually alive in this universe). Max dying so young is sad, but C&D are letting his death be the primary focus of Charlie's birthday every year. They have taught this kid to NEVER enjoy his own birthday!!! That is sick. They are going to be sad when they remember Max regardless, so why not primarily remember him on the day he died so you don't mentally F Charlie on his birthday for life? Again, Jason's world lacks common sense. I'm team Jaye.
