@@AllyourBase3 There's a lot of changes from the book to the show, and the author was the showrunner and head script writer so I think there's a good possibilty of there being a second season, especially if it's had good viewing numbers.

The tension in each episode was palpable

Joel is an amazing actor and this show is great

This show is great and thought provoking. Like an endless stream of the question "what if?"

I've watched season 1 over at least 6 times now. I'm so hooked. I really hope they will devote time to writing up scripts for a second season. There is so much to explore. So many loose ends that could lead to great new stories and insights. Great cast, great acting. And the music ... wow... best score for a series in a long time. Intelligent sci fi. The path not taken, really makes you question your own reality.

@@richturistRU Joel is Australian, which some of us didn't know, and he does a great job in the series with an American accent, hence the surprise hearing him with that lovely and strong Aussie way of speaking. Alice is Brazilian and also has a different accent than in the series, but I already knew who she was, so I'm not that surprise about it. She always sounds lovely.

best show ive seen in years pretty cool to see that brother from finding carter there all grown up too haha, also jennifer conelly the girlfriend of hulk and requim for a dream, also an amazing actor the gift was great aswell as the fighting brother movie.. love these actors and the concept of the show, everything is perfect

Think this could go down as one of the best 1 season shows. Don’t mind no season 2

The cube allows travel to alternate dimensions and also functions as a time-traveling device. Since there are dimensions where certain actions didn't occur or have yet to occur, the cube offers various possibilities. For example, in one dimension, their parents might have met later in life, making them younger, while in another dimension, they might be much older. He could potentially search for a world where he prevents "evil" Jason from kidnapping his younger self and instead takes "evil" Jason's place.

Completely wrong , the box does not act as a time travel , Jason 2 / evil Jason made that clear when he was showing heighten how to use the box

@@Therealstarbel You're right, but I'm not exactly talking about traditional time traveling. When they left the box and saw a version of themselves where they didn't escape and Amanda was killed, it seemed like they were looking into the past. In that scenario, maybe Amanda needed more time to decide whether she wanted to escape with Jason. So, in a way, it's a form of time traveling, or at least the series hints at it. I'm not sure if the book includes this concept.

@@Therealstarbel Did you know that the German title for the book translates to "Dark Matter - The Time Traveler"? It appears as though the publisher themselves misunderstood the content of the book. The German title should have been "Dark Matter - The World Traveler."

Great Show! I'm struggling with them saying "if you could change your life", but when leaping to a different multiverse, there are two of you. How does this additional you assimilate? You can't "take over" the other you's life......unless, you send the other you through the box.

which is exactly what he did, he kidnapped himself and threw the life he stole guy in the box, thats why he was so confused where he was meanwhile the other guy was living in his life

I rather thought that since both are men of science, they would talk it out. I mean, I don't even get why 'evil' Jason had to change dimensions. He could easily go back and win back Daniela like the 'good' Jason did.

@@aliciacraig7637 I finished the book yesterday, alternating between the audiobook and reading. If the adaptation follows the book, as it has so far, I'm worried the ending will be rather disappointing. I feel some pity for Jason2.

Oooo so there will be a confrontation between og Jason and evil jason! Honestly waiting for new episodes is so difficult for me, i want to know how it ends so badly that i bought the audiobook 😂
