    Hey there! Usually during the top coat I drizzle more. Before detailing, I usually move it around and see if I get any fall out. If so, I drizzle more during top coat. After that I dust all the access off and it creates small divots which I love the look of. Hope that helps!

    I was wondering if there’s a way to stop the black from seeping under the crystals. I know you paint some gold so it don’t matter. But, I’d love to know if there’s a technique to prevent that from happening.

  • @EllePours

    Hey there! You can actually do the crystals in a separate session with clear. Let it cure for (12-24 hours depending on the brand) and start pouring your design.

  • @cyfairgal
    @cyfairgal2 жыл бұрын

    Ellie how did you adhere the crystals at the beginning. I could not tell if you pored clear epoxy on them before you started adding the black epoxy design

  • @EllePours

    @EllePours

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey there! Yes I take clear epoxy and drizzle it on top, you can do it multiple ways though. If you add white pigmented epoxy as a layer underneath, you can pour your glass and Quartz over it too. I recommend white so they pop and the true shine comes through. I usually just paint the canvas first so I don’t do that, but the odd time I switch it up ☺️

  • @EllePours

    @EllePours

    8 ай бұрын

    Hey there! I later after filming painted the edges black. If your epoxy is starting to harden it’s the perfect time to do the edges properly. If you’re not so lucky you paint them after (the dripping look is my personal favourite but not every buyer agrees, depending on the piece it truly depends) the drips are organic in this case. If you’re working with soft edged wood the edges are much easier to control. Sharp edges like this aren’t as easy and need perfect timing with your epoxy. I hope I answered your question well ❤️ - Elle

I hope you always be happy & healthy from inside & outside..

    Hey there! When I first started I used canvas but it’s actually too heavy for a normal canvas. My small ones never broke but the larger the more at risk. It’s also self leveling so I was wasting a lot of product (it just kept sinking to the middle) I now use wooden panels. You can get them from curry’s art supply! I highly recommend, especially if you’re using glass and crystals too!

    This is a wooden panel canvas designed for heavy holding. A real canvas will be damaged using heavy product like epoxy so this is to make sure it’s for a long life as long as it’s been taken care of. I do Timelapse’s for peaceful watching and for people to watch but there are many people offering classes who will explain much further if you need that.

    I replied to your other comment. You need to correct your behaviour and pay for a damn class. I’m not teaching but thanks for the ridicule. Go make coasters if you’re that incapable of understanding epoxy… you should not be trying to create larger items yet at your level and that isn’t my responsibly to hold your hand. I didn’t even have Timelapse’s when I learned, it’s called research and practise.

    This is so entitled it’s insane. Not only is this not a free class- it’s a Timelapse. It’s designed so the buyer of the art can see how their piece was made. I’m also an open book unlike almost every single artist on this platform. I share every piece of info I can for FREE. I show all my materials (it’s called pausing) which I do not have to do at all. This is also an older video and my new layout has it in the details. I do KZread for fun not a job, in fact I work full time, do art part time, keep up with my social media’s SOMEHOW in the small periods of time I do have. Again, you sound entitled and quite frankly an absolute asshole. Go PAY for a class- there are many artists who have courses designed for people learning. If you’re that early in your stages using epoxy I would suggest you start small and learn the product because your previous comment about dry times is very very very basic knowledge and if you’re making a canvas already you’re too new into this material.
