Dark Angel is the best thrash band that ever was or will be, and Hoglan is an institution. Best DRUMMER hands down.

I am also from that era I also recommend Testament,Exodus ,Mortal Sin ,Death Angel,plus many more ,I have so many vinyl albums of these bands and tapes ,Gene Hoglan the drummer for Dark Angel has been playin for Strapping Young Lad for some time now ,we saw them live at Glasgow when he had a stomach bug and he had a bucket next to the kit and kept playing through being sick ,now thats devotion

Dark Angel is my only Guardian Angel!

Bad ass! Hate so say it but alot of good bands got over shadowed by the big thrash metal bands back in the day. Dark Angel was one of them. If you like thrash metal at all you need to pickup Dark Angel's albums.

I would also recomend Venom and Exodus :) from the same period.(even earlier)This is the real metal!the 80's (early 90's maybe)Now everything is commercial...changing tapes, never come back.Too bad.
