It’s really ice caves. Now that they added map rotation you’re not stuck to ice caves as a duo anymore

Loving the positive vibes coming from these D&D videos, keep up the good work! If you ever need guidance or people to play duos/trios with, a lot of us veterans would be happy to help. Tip of the day: Dodging Skeleton Axemen Stay at melee range of the skeleton. As they start their swing, crouch, look down and move diagonally to the right of the skeleton. When done correctly you are able to dodge both types of swings.

That's a little outdated as a small position error=headshot 1 shot you putting your head right in the line of fire and it feels like they made the swing go downwards... so its really hard to do these days. Best way to do it now is to rotate left and jump + crouch.. as if you fuck it up you are only taking a leg shot xD

@@DimePwnz well I'm able to dodge 100% of swings from Nightmare axe skeletons with what I said, so it definitely still works. Just have to get the timing right

@@Xeilang- I think you have to really hug them and get under it before the arc downwards... it used to be easier I swear.

learning the attack patterns of the mob and how to dodge them makes a massive difference in the gameplay experience

Nightmare blunt rotation

the big shield guy is easy to deal with, basically when he goes to attack he will either move his shield too the left or the right. you want to move to the oppisite side of the mob, so if the shield is on the left side (when your facing it left for you) you move too the right around him r visversa

Eeeexcept sometimes he tracks you perfectly regardless 😂

so for the ice giants.. I feel like with the berserker you can just rotate around him while crouching and dodge everything just be careful of your hands getting hit while you swing, and for the ice giant shieldman all you have to do is step to the side his shield isn't on when he attacks... gl :)

@@JimMcChop yeah there is better ways I think...? Definitely other ways. But thats just how I figured it out for myself, hopefully it helps :)

by the way even tho it doesnt seem right duo mob density is more than solo and trio map, ice cavern is xp farm map

Nice to see new playrs enjoying the game, it will be a lot better with multiclassing gone now. I have like 1500+ hours and I've learned how to kill all of the mobs naked if I have to. Seeing new players like you reminded me how hard this game in when you first start out.

it makes me sad for the future of Dark and darker cus lowkey the only way to get consistent success in that game is to grind thru all the bullshit, which most people simply don't have the time or energy

honestly you are not bad for a new player, i think you can learn it pretty well good luck in your journey!

The shield guy can be dodged by crouching in front of him, looking backwards and up as he swings. Hope you have a good time in the game, i sunk 4300 hours in before i gave up.

btw there is no reason to keep common/default loot in your inventory. I was confused when you dropped the uncommon clothes for the common axe. unless its a collectable there's no real reason to have common sellable in your inventory

The game is def not noob friendly but once you get over the starter hump it all gets easier haha, good videos though man

naw bruh i need to find a duo, the only other duo i have either runs with other people a lot or if he isn’t, he’s busy with other stuff. game’s too lonely and i’m straight booty cheeks at team play and the game in general. 😔

My knowledge and experience, especially compared to veterans like yourself, is still only surface level. I love the old school fantasy and mechanics of this game which really add a unique touch to the whole game in this modern era of gaming and makes the small successes and growth as a player feel all that more rewarding! I'd say the easiest way to describe Dark and Darker in terms of the feeling is comparing it to the Dark Souls franchise in a good way!

I would be more than happy to squad up and play trios sometime with ya if you’re down :)
