Of course! Its a hard line to walk sharing what you buy/getting excited for new things while also being mindful of overconsumption. Hopefully we all can get a grasp on what is a worthy buy and what doesn't bring us much joy. It's so hard when there's so much cute stuff though lol!

Kristen, I love the haul. The metal eyeball thing is for making meatballs. The hole in the top lets the meat out if too much is in it. The bucket is a coal or hot ash bucket. The grass cutter is a sickle. Like saying pickle but with an S. My grandmother had all those things. Can't wait until the next video. Have a great day!!❤

Huge fan of Sleepy Hollow series. Anything you can find to fit the colonial esthetic would work. It is the style I always gravitate towards for fall and Halloween. Some may call it primitive or country, but that tends have a lot of yellow oak in it, which nobody misses that part of the 80s and 90s lol

@@americanresolutionist7272 I agree! Colonial decor is engrained in me since my childhood and it’s definitely different than primitive, although similar!

The portraits are fabulous. My parents have family portraits of my paternal great great grandparents and another one of my great great great grandfather 🖤 It’s really sad that no one else wanted them so my parents jumped up and saved them from being discarded. They have been in my parents home ever since I can remember…I’m 53 now and will make sure I keep them in our family as long as I can 🖤

That's awesome you have family portraits that old! I wish we did. It's nice to keep heirlooms like that around for future generations. Not everyone will appreciate it at every phase of their life, but I think we all eventually crave some type of nostalgia and connection to our family members before us.

Really lucky finds! Love it all! I much prefer authentic, vintage goods to the mass produced stuff, but it’s all fun when you’re Halloween prepping 🎃🖤.

The metal bucket is a coal scuttle. They carried coal in it to burn in fireplaces, stoves, etc.

I am freaking out at this title!!!!! Dark Academia Witchy is my FAVORITE Halloween, fall vibe, even all year long!!!!!

Kristin, I too use those old spooky, witchy, photos but they are actually my real family. Lol. U had me laughing so hard. Love u more every year. That bucket is called a coal scuttle. U can use it to bring coal to the fire or take the ashes away. Love ur haul!

Witch boots by far was the fav piece. I would recommend planting sage in your garden and then cutting it come the end of summer and hanging a huge bunch upside down to dry. You can grow any herbs and do the same thing such as mint

Of course I stayed until the end, lol. I LOVE everything you got but my faves are the boots and the punched tin lantern. I have punched tin and light fixtures all over my home. Very colonial. Hi kristen, I stumbled on your page. I love all things Halloween. I'm actually Wiccan. Just a few things you can try and find that most witch's keep on their alter. An old hour glass, silver goblets, feathers, glass cloche, tarot cards, wands, gods, and goddess. I am a white witch and more of a moon girl. So I keep the triple moon goddess on my alter. If you need any ideas that are authentic, let me know.

So much fun, gives me dark academia meets witchy vibes. I’ve seen those old cabinet cards already made up like how you shared in a screen shot at antique malls , they are so fun. I recently found an original oil paint on stretch canvas portrait from around 1890-1910 with the frame attached, $150 I had to grab it. While the portrait will be up yearly as I’m a purist when it comes to antiques, I’ll definitely add some cobwebs for Halloween. I want to say that bucket was for coal

@@harvestandholly yes! I found a Fenton brand small vase. It's hobnail style and it's cranberry colored. Also a cocoa pot with a gold dragon. I ship antique stores for decor. I go to hobby lobby and michaels for the flowers, garlands, wreaths and pumpkins, but most other stuff I go to my local shops. 😁

Found an old little antique bottle labeled schanze's pharmacy in my great aunts stuff when she passed. It was full of mercury

I do a more modern witchy theme. But 1 of my best pieces is the Threshold Metal Cauldron from Target. Its thicker metal, huge for the price ($35‐40) and doesnt have any cheesey words/pictures like the ones from homegoods! Although it might be to modern for the Manor display

The boots could have belonged to my grandmother 😂 I'm 71 and she was in LA before the turn of the century..graduated high school in 1906. My Great grandfather was a commercial photographer in LA before the turn of the century so how funny (&erie! ) that he may have taken any one of those portraits! I totally agree they do look like witchy women lol I think you did great with everything in your haul! This was so fun to watch! 🖤🧡🖤🧡

Just wanted to tell you that the one bucket that pointed to one side is a coal bucket. When I was a little girl my grandparents had a coal stove and brought up the coal bucket with coal in it .

We can't make it technically bubble because we aren't allowed to have liquids in our display, but I was thinking of doing the iridescent christmas ornaments in some sort of fluff with green lights underneath? I will try to show you guys if it comes out ok!
