Hello everyone. I wanted to do a brief video essay analysis on why Funko NFTs, especially centering on the MTV Daria franchise, is an exasperating topic. Will you be purchasing any Daria Funko NFT decks? Have you purchased Funko NFT before?
To reiterate - this video is not meant to offend NFT collectors - this is a nerdy examination of a character who is infamously anti-consumerism and wondering why her fictional universe is the subject of an NFT limited release.
I do apologize for any audio issues with my mic - the goal is to buy a nicer one once I am monetized, which should be right around the corner! I also know some of the clips have weird pitches in audio, or even one clip not having great volume - pole vaulting around copyright is tough, but I truly hope you gain some value from this video! Boy, does this bring back a disappointing memory. I grew up watching HR Pufnstuf and decided to start collecting those Funko Pops. Jimmy, the main character of the show (and the last Pop I needed) was then suddenly announced…but only as an “exclusive limited edition” NFT with about 1,000 steps to complete before purchase🙄 Great video👍🏼
Really enjoyed your impassioned thoughts and opinions on this. Idk if I’ll ever fully understand what NFTs are or why they ever came to be a thing in the first place.

If you have a droppp account, after the initial sale of packs, you can outright buy the physical collectables on their own marketplace. So it’s not a chance, you just have to play the ‘stock market’ (much more simple than it sounds) and buy at a price you’d be okay paying. Sometimes they’re like 20$ and other times they’re $100+ (normally only the grails)

NFTs have no basis in tangible things. Crypto actually has a basis in something tangible. Also, NFTs are more like rentals. Contracts are often convoluted and easy to break.
