@@de_ciphered tank battles can be hard for both sides due to the fact that most tank engagements are pretty damn far away and most of the time they require assistance(such as infantry support) meanwhile a plane can easily strafe them and disable them quickly plus all the crew does is to drive,load,fire the gun,etc while in air combat the pilot does everything they can do for the plane(thus requiring a co-pilot for most of the time). Anyways i probably derailed myself a bit

it's a song that just makes me feel like i'm actually up there, in the sky, free as can be. though ngl it sounds like it's something from the avatar movie, and that's no insult.

I'm personally love the colour of F2A fighter

memes aside, this ost didn't really struck me when I played the mission for the first time BECAUSE of those missile warnings and how much I was focused on the objective, on the other hand sol squadron theme felt very epic to me

THe F-18 is still outclassed by the F-14D today and Grumman had plans for more iterations of the Super Tomcats if it made it to its final form the ST-22 Super Tomcat it could’ve rivaled the F-22 it’s bullshit Congress shut it down in what? 06? In these times I bet those former congressmen and Senators are regretting that decision. The F-14 airframe was one of a kind and if we implemented it back in today it would definitely be very useful and beneficial and it’s a DAMN! Shame that we got rid of it we didn’t even leave any to put into a Museum we scrapped them all and now only Iran has them…

Any competent fighter pilot will tell you if you try to do some of these Maneuvers IRL with your aircraft it will be a race between The Fighter Squadron senior NCO for maintenance and your squadron commander as to who will take you apart first. Some of these Maneuvers although they look cool are really not even remotely based on reality in terms of aerodynamics and aircraft design. Sometimes you just have to remember if you tried to do this in real life with a real airplane you end up with a badly damaged aircraft that is taken out of service if the pilot survives the stunt., or a dead pilot if he doesn't
