Hi Rex i'm using my wife's account to look at your lessons. i started playing the drums aged ten and i'm now 35. i have always played a traditional drum kit (5 piece) i recently picked up a Darbuka from a friend who plays Djembe i didn't even know how to hold a Darbuka until i watched your lessons. your lessons are a great help to me i have a very good understanding of the rudiments of drumming already but i am proof that you never stop learning! just wanted to say thank you.

Please let me know the skin size and height of your Darbuka since I'm finding it difficult to balance the Darbuka for this rhythm using HE 102 Meinl. Or should I change playing position

@Zaf Production This is a tutorial video so it's pretty obvious most people watching this are still learning.

I'm confused by his Dums and Pas ( we call it Cup) as his hand shape stays the same. Usually the Dum is played with a flat hand and bounces off, according to all my previous teachers. Maybe it is just not clear in this video?

great and very cool lessons, but try to use a better camera, is a little stressing the continuous sound like interference or something like that. Good work
