Amazing acting from Noman - you really hate his character, and that’s because he makes the character so disgusting. There is a Joyee in every family. And the other family members are complicit in the suffering of these women, especially Sadia’s useless husband. The other women in the household who are blind to his abuse, and actively encourage it by making light of his completely inappropriate behaviour. Men like this are a scourge in our society. We have to empower our girls to speak up and be brave, but that can only happen if they believe they will be listened to.

Getting your girls educated is so important. Such women like Sadia can't even protect themselves or their children. If they leave susral where will they go. Their own families can't offer them or their kids protection. Such abuse is so tabooed that victims are always suppressed and never tell the truth.

Atleast mother should be smart enough to bring up her daughter

Ppl should train their daughter like boys so they can speak up as most of the time mothers are the shield for children but dependent ppl especially women are more vulnerable .... South East Asian societies are closed societies . Mother should teach girls and boys about molester in relative, teacher or friends or wherever they go. Strong educated mothers is a shield.

Unbelievable! After watching Raqeeb se I chose to see this series. It was shock for me. Acting is such a powerful tool.

Those who are saying Sadia is having or had an affair with Joyee are wrong. Sadia's husband left her in susral with a small girl. She must be alone so she might would've not condemned Joyee advances, however he started abusing her daughter- she got defensive but couldn't do anything. She could not protect herself let alone her daughter. So both mother and daughter are continuously abused. Sila hates her mother for not protecting her since she was a child. On top Joyee blackmails Sadia that he's having an affair with her and will tell her husband. So Sila hates her mother. What a tough situation!! I hope these women can take a stand in following episodes.

This drama is underrated while focusing on such a dark topic which is reality indeed. Also the comments are less sensible here, who isn't taking theme of the drama .

They don't have to think, it is reality. Not just in Pakistan but all over the world. I know many girls who have been through this but have to stay quiet. You should be proud that your country is making awareness about it and not promoting honour killings.
