My buddies and I did the same trip last September and what a trip. It was the most peaceful and safe ride I've ever done. Great food, awesome people and beautiful scenery . Who could ask for more?

That would certainly have been an amazing trip. Don't think I could peddle as I used to, but an e-bike would be a great option. Wonderful! Bruce and Otis

The Danube from Passau to Vienna is mostly flat. EBikes would make it a breeze. We had 80 year old Europeans, passing us up, smiling from ear to ear. Give it a shot, you’ll love it.

My buddy and I did the same trip as you. We even rented from the same bike shop( saw it in the background) it was our second trip down the Danube in two years. What a peaceful ride! Taking some more friends in 2025

@@SloMo2723 We really enjoyed it. Comfortable, clean. modern, great hospitality. secure place for bikes. food was great. the day we stayed was a beautiful summer day so we ate on the patio by the river. family owned. highly recommend

Great trip! I am planning to do it also this summer. May I ask you if there were mosquitos around? Just to know if I should bring some kind of spray with me.

no, bugs were not a problem.

We've just completed the same journey but travelled light: we didn't take a jazz pianist and piano with us.
