@@tonygee5680 KK and Azimio politics aside, how can you be defensive to support Ruto's failure on his 1st year in office? Can't you see how damaging his government is to Kenyans? Even his stronghold regions are fed up with him. Once Kenyans are united to revolt, Ruto's camp should be worried. Solutions were offered by Azimio in the national dialogue committee meetings but KK turn a blind eye and keep making things worse. Some people can't be saved no matter how hard you try to fix their mistakes.

The question to ask here is who comprise the Politburo and the Central Committee, who are the main policy makers? Essentially, President Ruto is applying communism, and the country is about to enter a 'sickle and hammer' era. That is why you are seeing social health care, housing levies. Under communism, these were basics that the government sought to provide to close the gap between the rich and the poor. Ensure Wanjiku has a roof, can feed, take children to school, access cheaper basic facilities like fuel, and in U.S.S.R, even gas was free. That is the President's goal. Should it be successful, it can only be sustained in an autocracy, and not a democracy where extreme capitalism that allows institutional capture thrives. That is why the likes of Apostle Waruinge have opined that President Ruto will stabilize the economy and eventually become a dictator. So, should the regime of President Ruto become autocratic, it will be out of necessity of protecting the citizens from falling into the adverse effects of corruption. Remember, Prof. Njuguna talked of selling some institutions to make them efficient because these institutions under our government have been under capture since time memorial. The IEBC should also be sold to an international entity outside the hands of these individuals. It brings to light another key element of communism, keeping the bourgeouis away from the grasp of power since they have been responsible for widespread corruption. UDA's philosophy will be centered on that, and it touches on the tribal nature of politics in this country. In any discussion on politics in this country regardless of the topic, it eventually gets back to tribal affiliations. If it is a particular manifesto, behind it there is a tribal leader and other tribal alliances supporting it. CT touches on the issue lightly, because it is a sensitive issue when it goes deeper. So, focusing on the cabinet and whether they are qualified is a smokescreen. The key debate should be about the communist direction President Ruto is taking and whether it will work?

During Moi's time, even lawyers were not spared from state repression. Lawyers would think twice before taking up a case to defend those who were marked as anti-establishnent. To make it worse, Kenya had a completely emasculated Judiciary, far worse than anything one can think of. It was an appendage of the Executive in every way.
