Dansha Farms Vacuum Goat and Cow Milker Manual Milking Machine

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

NEW! Finally, a hand held milking system without the BLOB:
tiny.cc/Hand-Held-Milking-System
Beware of the Dansha Farms Vacuum Cow, Goat and Sheep Milker Hand Milking Machine that features a foul smelling blob of polyurethane under the lid.
Dansha Farms claims the polyurethane they use is"harmless" and does not affect the flavor of the milk...
Further research allowed us to create our own hand held milking system (with removable and replaceable parts) which can be purchased online at:
tiny.cc/Hand-Held-Milking-System
To build your own goat/sheep milking device, you'll need:
- A Hand Held Vacuum Pump (tiny.cc/Hand-Pump)
- A Wide Mouth Jar (Walmart/Target or tiny.cc/32oz-Jars)
- Fittings, Rubber Washers & Tubing (Lowes/Home Depot)
- 60ml Syringe (tiny.cc/60ml-Syringe)
Building a DIY milking device requires a drill and a little elbow grease.
In the event you don't mind buying a product that features a stinky chemical, do so here at your own risk:

I'm sure there must be suitable screw threaded adapters that would connect the tube to the jar to remove the need for the blob.

Indeed there are such "screw threaded adapters" but do you know what they're called and who sells them?

thank you so much for sharing your insight about the smell of the epoxy used in sealing the suction & milk tubing. we have 5 goats and need to rely on a milking system that's not only reliable, but also safe. A sealant that's soft and has a strong odor is clearly not the way we want to go.

Carlos Thompson my pleasure. My advice is, make your own! That way if your milking system breaks, and eventually it will, you can fix it for pennies instead of ordering very, very expensive parts from Dansha Farms.

If it smells bad, then it's likely toxic. Thanks you for recording this video and saving us the headache or worse, the offensive smell or milk taste... After Looking into making this milking system myself, I found all the parts I needed using your links and the fittings/tubing at Home Depot for under $30.

Our version of this pump works very well. the pumps eventually fall apart when used 2x a day like we do here in Brooksville.

+Ashley Honeycutt Good for you! I had to replace the brake bleeder pump (link in video description) after the pump I bought from Dansha Farms (Dan & Sharron Beffa) failed even though I took great care of it... All parts eventually fail, so knowing where to buy replacement for a fair price is key.

If you've purchased one of these from Dansha, don't worry, you can build a new lid very cheaply. Pop off or cut the hoses. Get a new lid for a wide mouth Mason jar and head to your hardware or farm and fleet store for the fittings and river washers. All of that shouldn't cost over $7-8.

+Stephen Suss right! Certainly more cost effective than Dansha Farms $70 pump!!!! More importantly, when parts fail, and if you milk goats like we do twice a day, they will fail eventually, knowing where to get replacement parts and having the savvy to fix your pump(s) is REALLY important.

I just saw one of these for sale on Craigslist and since I don't know anything about manual milkers, I decided to Google the Dansha one. Glad I did because I found your very useful, money-saving video! Thanks for taking the time to alert others to this "less than desirable" product.

Dempsy Winans forget the issues we had with the product and smell of the blob under the lid. The people who sold me the milking pump hurled insults & came after me for producing this video (and others) then even threatened to sue me for sharing my honest opinion. #FreeSpeech

Thanks for sharing. You'll notice the stench of the blob carries over to your milk also if the milk sits in there more than a few minutes... #GROSS

@@DanielStPierre omg! U know i didnt realize till this moment that that may be what's going on with our milk! It has a strange "farmy" scent that we've never had before when hand milking our nigerians! I couldnt figure out what it was lol. Still beats hand milking though with how full those udders are. Cuts my time in half. Ill look onto a new lid eventually. Wish id watched your video before spendings over 100 bucks on it.....

@@DanielStPierre Also we've noticed keeping the jar in a bucket of ice helps a little with the smell, strangely enough. I figured maybe it was this intense summer making the milk smell strange. Guess ill find out though after i get a new lid
