I relate to this song more then I'd like. I was 18 and had been with an amazing girl for nearly 2 years when my life took a turn, and I ended up homeless, which is a story that'll go unshared. self-esteem plummeted, and I realized after a while, I wasn't worthy of her anymore if I ever even was. After 2 months of sleeping in a stairwell, occasionally at a shelter, if I could get a spot, and her place, and not seeing an end in sight, I ended my relationship with her. It's been 7 years since then, and I'm doing better. she, on the other hand, has been dating a guy I met at the very shelter I stayed at, which was where she met him, hanging with me, and I've had to watch what I never wanted to happen to her, actually happen. He was a meth addict then and still is, and by the looks of her, so is she. Even though it has been so long, it still breaks my heart. Sorry for the novel, but this song brought on the feels.
