Damn, this blew me away. Danny Walker proves again that he's one of the best metal drummers out there today. And the quality is amazing!

I love this band and this album but damn I wish there was more stuff that crushes as hard as the intro to this song.

It's an ostinato on the hi hat. The nose scratch and wire adjustment are actually a polyrhythm which is why it looks off beat at first.

    +Felipe Rodriguez One guitar is in 4/4, the other one is doing a 9/8 and 5/8 bar alternately... Written down, it would look somewhat like this: | - stress . - silence Guitar 1: | . . | . . | . | . . | . . | . | . . | . . | . | . . | . . | . | . . | . . | . | . . | . . | . | . . | . . | . Guitar 2: | . . | . | . | . | . . | . | . . | . | . | . | . . | . | . . | . | . | . | . . | . | . . | . | . | . | . . | . The bass is basically in the same time signature as guitar two. And the drums... well - Danny is just from another world and I don't feel like figuring out all the things he's playing and interpreting which time signature it is, to me it looks like a kind of half-improvisation, switching back and forth between different time signatures, but still based around the 9/8 - 5/8 pattern. (if that helps :)

I was at this show guys, and while the playing was super tight, Sacha's amp made it impossible for me to hear anyone else on stage. I'm sure others in the front row would agree.

+Alkalilee It wasn't his amp, it was a lack of side fill speakers. Its a big stage with a wide gap between the mains, and they don't cover the first few feet in front of the stage. Usually the sound team will put whats called side fills, or mains that point left and right on the stage (instead of towards the back of the room) to fill in this gap. The room really needed it, but for whatever reason they didn't have them. Still an amazing show though.
