All Virgil is saying is that he has no idea what plans the new manager may have for him. Same goes for every other player. People are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Once the new manager gets in and speaks to the players then decisions can be made. Some may fit into the managers plans, others may not.

And he had also coached Under 3 to 4 best managers in the world before coming to chelsea. Oh yeah and did he have an unbeaten run of 27 games for a team before managing Chelsea? Alonso will produce better Results than Lampard even if he uses his bum instead of his brain to manage LFC bud!!

I think one of the main things that is different about Klopp leaving compared to say Sir Alex Ferguson or Wenger is that a lot of what Klopp was able to achieve was built around having a system in place and it wasn't so much the personnel that beat a lot of opponents but the system. If you recall people like Mbappe saying that Liverpool were like a machine. Just as Danny Murphy is trying to point out, Liverpool have a lot of things in place now that they need to succeed and so hopefully Alonso (or whoever replaces Klopp) will be able to make good use out of this.

Well, Virgil will be 34 when his contract is up in 2025. So I think he's looking at his own footballing mortality, in a sense. I think he is basically signaling to FSG and the hierarchy at the club that he wants a top class manager through the door and that he would like a new deal if the right manager takes over.

De Zerbi is a fantastic coach, brings in young inexpensive players, coach n mould them into good team players. On the one hand you can't say that Klopp is a genius and one of the best manager's in Liverpool's history, then also say him leaving won't have as big of an impact as Fergie/Wenger, especially when Xabi Alonso is rumoured as his replacement. Liverpool will 100% feel the affects of him leaving. How much they feel it will depend on a number of factors - how good is Xabi Alonso? Can he handle the pressure? Will Liverpool recruit well? Which players will leave Liverpool?

Honestly Xabi has a very good run in Leverkusen and will also play CL next year and has a shot on three titles. In Real Sociedad B he had an average of 1,46 points and so it is not given he will perform in Liverpool. If he fails Liverpool he not only left a contrac he just extended for 2 years, he will backfire as a manager to meh average and will also not have the loyalty a personalty like for example Klopp has. For me, the obvious choice is Nagelsmann. That guy has trained big teams including FC Bayern with only 36 years old. He declined Chelsea, Real Madrid and others, but I'm pretty sure he would take over the team of Papa Klopp.

Theres no way alonso could come to liverpool and play 3 at the back against burnley and brighton at anfield. He’d have to change his style straight away. Thats totally obvious Id be very worried if alonso didnt know that so we dont know what alonsos style would be. Id imagine similar to arteta and pep and im not really fussed on that type of boring passing possession football. Theyre has to be an edge especially at liverpool

People are so clueless about football. Xabi Alonso does not suit Liverpool style of play, pressing and dominating in the opponents half. Besides with Alonso Liverpool will be set back from their current Leading position to a Project for Top 4 (Give the new manager a 2 seasons or so to get the hang of PL😂). If Liverpool are serious to keep challenging for trophies they will choose Roberto De Zerbi. He will carry on from where Jurgen Klopp left off. Plus he doesnt need adjustment time. As a Liverpool fan I really dont want inexperienced manager like Alonso to take charge of my club.

Certainly a better suggestion than Ange Postecoglou which is Simon Jordans pick!! Clearly shows he knows nothing about the culture and the football that is played by LFC. No disrespect to Spurs supporters or Ange Postecoglou but he is not the correct choice or fit for Liverpool Football Club. No one can replace Klopp, EVER, however Xabi, with his previous links and recent managerial experience is a great choice imo.

The new manager will start bringing his own style & players slowly. He will build on the foundations that they will inherits. The new man will bring in 2/3 new players. But if Saudi make bit of £150m VVD & Mo for £180m to £200m. Then both will go. The next manager should be D Simone at LFC manager. The job he has done at AM is amazing. I think he would build on what Klopp has done.

Salah will not go to Saudi now, you see FSG can say we want to sell you, Salah could say I want to put my contract and one more year in the champions league, or he could go on the cheap to another champions.leage team,....kind of an awful situation for the player, he went full in with kloop, because kloop was staying, players of Salahs calibre don't decide oneday they want to go into Sunday league football when they still have the ability, it then again let's see. What I noticed about Liverpool fans is they are the only fans who get so desperate for money to come into the club, maybe stop selling players and start asking your owners to pay up instead of buying hockey teams in the USA with the profits, you could have still had mane and wijandum for last season

why would alonso want liverpool, when the madrid job is there for him in a few years, he should take his time at his current clubs and go through the up and downs and get more experience before going to big club, for all these fans saying ahh he has support, everyone know English fans and media, you never want to be the manager who comes in after the big guys leaves, look at emery and moyes, both have way more experience than alonso but look how they were treated within 18 months both were gone from the job and reputation was damaged and had to go away and rebuild and come back. also these liverpool deluded fans who have it banked in trent will stays so funny, if real madrid come in for trent he leaves simple as jude is at madrid and hes going to the biggest club in the world plus when you compare real madrid vs agasint liverpool who do you think will be dominating european football in a few years there is only 1 answer real madrid.

Alonso wasn't even on anyone's radar 5 months ago. To say he's perfect is incredibly naive. Afterall he's in the Bundesliga where Werner Sancho and Havertz all did well. The PL is a different beast. Liverpool without Klopp are going to struggle to hit the same heights for a good while. It's inevitable. And if Salah leaves too then can forget it even more.

Thing on my mind is that VvD will be 34 at the end of his contract. He's a superb player and I hope he stays, BUT unlike the strikers he's playing against he's not getting any younger. Yes he's up to the job at the minute but he's also getting caught out a little more than he used to and relies quite heavily on his CB's support more than he used to. Still the best CH in the PL but not for ever jaydorrian.

Think VVDs comment are abit of nothing regardless of what he says. VVD is on a huge wage captain of the club and 33 in July with 2 more years contract starting from when the new manager comes in. He's the best CB in the world and would command more than a decent fee if he wanted to go but it's all rubbish talk Salah is the only one with 12 months left to get sorted asap is he going or staying that's up to him and the club.
