I watched Danny Kaye movies as a kid in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. Danny Kaye movies were wonderful.

Met him during a car ride, he could not have been kinder to me.

He was truly talented and gifted ☺

We just discovered that his movies are included with Amazon Prime (for now at least). Watched Secret Life of Walter Mitty last night. His patter songs are brilliant. He was a class act and a good man to the end.

For the past month I have watched nothing on KZread but Danny Kaye! And court jester and Walter Mitty are the funniest!!

“I’ll never forget the morning when grandpa ate the awning to impress a pretty lady...who went for men that were shady” 🤣 that line, for me, never gets old. Who wrote this stuff?!

That is my favourite too! It shall be the lithmus test for my husband to be. If he can't appreciate the genius of this lyric, he's not for me.

I agree with you! My top two Danny Kaye favorites are A Song is Born and Wonderman. I love the opera bit at the end of Wonderman , of course I'm the type of person who bursts into song for no apparent reason. It really confuses people when I do that scene. Song is Born is just one of my all time favorite movies, who could resist it?

A Song is Born is my favorite movie of all time. I have an autographed stock photo from the movie signed by Virginia (who was incredible) and Danny (whom I absolutely adore). Danny's charm will never die.

Just wanted to thank the idiots at Warner Bros, for taking down the third Danny Kaye vid., 'cause somehow promoting the wonder of him, infringes on their ability to finance the next batman.

Silly isn’t it. In my case, these short snippets remind me of what fun and talent he (and others are) and I go looking to rent or stream them. In other words they promote the movie. Duh
