He lapped me at a desert race out in Johnson Valley in 92' or 93' and it was a beautiful site to see him fly by. His bike skipped across the desert hucking a bucket of rocks every time it touched. RIP.

Danny would be in a Trophy truck these days, and probably have what, 20 class championships under his belt. RIP to the greatest.

I was there for the Ely grand Prix. It is were I live. I was a teenager. and the race was a 28 mile cource 4 lap event. over some of the roughest and most trecheress terrain you ever seen in your life. then it went straight through central and east Ely. I remember he one every race till the event ended in 1995 I remember he would be the first one in the pits every time usually with a 10-15 minute lead over the next rider!!!!!!!! I remember the 94 grand prix he lapped Tye Davis twice!!!!!!!!!!RIP

I still ride the same Trails in the Ely G P and I do not understand how he made it through there so fast.....HE IS AND ALLWAYS BE A LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! live forever DH1 much love. and what a lose of talent. I still to this day think he won more desert races in his sweet but somewhat short career. No rider to this day has won as many!!!!! I heard his Life ended in baja by crashing into some drunk locals were driving there car in reverse on the course?DH was doing over 120 when hehit thecar?

Forever remembered 1972 - 1995. Killed at the start of Baja race June 3, 1995 by a cop making a left turn in front of him while he was doing 100+mph........

I actually watched an old video of the accident aftermath and people trying to help him, he was gone 😢 such a tragic scene, I just can't wrap my head around how many years score ran through paved roads with 0 speed limits
