Danielle Cooper's switch-on of her cochlear implants - video 2

Комедия

Danielle was born with a severe hearing loss and was fitted with hearing aids when she was just 7 months old. Danielle progressed well in school and although it seemed her hearing aids were providing sufficient support for her hearing loss, it became apparent after audiology testing in recent months that Danielle's haring loss had become so profound that she required cochlear implants. This is one of the video's of the switch-on of her CI.

This is one of my favorites of these implant success stories. Danielle does an amazing job communicating what it's like to have her brain trying to make sense of this new input! I hope she's doing well!

What I find amazing is that when a person has never heard anything in their life yet when they speak, they have their native accent. Very fascinating!

deaf people often take speech therapy classes, because their inability to hear pronunciation gives them a mumble, so the voice coach helps them sound normal.
