Daniel Wang’s 5 Favourite B-Sides (Electronic Beats TV)
Музыка
He’s been called a disco professor and is a living music encyclopaedia, but essentially, Daniel Wang is a DJ and a dancer. In this episode of B-Sides, here on Telekom Electronic Beats TV, we visit the California-born, Berlin-based producer, DJ and founder of Balihu Records to hear 5 of Wang’s favourite B-Sides. Lucky for us, we got a lot more than a few track titles in this one!

He’s like the eccentric uncle you couldn’t wait to hang out with when he came over for the holidays when you were a teenager.

kay k totally agree 💯. I would like to see techno DJ’s get into more of the philosophy of their music choices and talk about their perspective of music theory (or maybe their abandonment of theory altogether). Whereas I did not dig his choices at all I have respect in that it’s very apparent he ❤️music!

Daniel is one of the most humble, fearless and solid DJs of all time. He *is* that guy, despite what he will tell You :)

Give Daniel at least an hour to talk about records he love.
This is the best episode. This guy’s passion for music is unrivaled. It’s his world and I can understand how he’s very protective of the industry and scene in Berlin. Peggy Gou need not respond

The world needs more people like Daniel Wang sharing their infectious passion and knowledge of music.
Seriously people ! I have to watch this every single week. Its so heartwarming and lovely. What a Wang ♥️💋
Maybe the greatest KZread video I have ever seen. Kids, do your homework

This is how it should be - going deeper into the history and structure of the tracks.

That’s nifty in theory, but most records, especially these days, don’t really have histories. Every episode would go like this: “So, the interesting thing about this record, the producer produced this on ableton, in his underwear.”

Ian Pooly is breaking up the tracks in his show as well!
Not a disco fan but this guy is great could listen to him speak about records all day
I didn't know this guy but I'm a fan now...
Great to see Daniel Wang! Such a dude, an inspiration! ✨🕺
So cute, so informative, so enthusiastic, so nerdy .. so unlike most DJ’s .. love the little tuning pipe
What a well presented and informative episode. Future B-Sides artists should be taking notes!

Even when I am not at all in to that kind of music, he is so passionate and energetic that its a pleasure listen to him share his love for the tracks. Thanks a lot!
Finally, you get someone on who understands the concept of the b side and guess what? He's not a 'techno guy'...

Watched this again today and what a lovely episode. The comment at the end on "don't let yourself turn into mechanical robots" is so on point. Thanks for a refreshing, inspiring, and sensitive presentation.
I'm a bit late to Daniel's B-Side episode, but it's the best one so far imho, you can tell he is a top bloke with a real passion for spreading his knowledge and love of the music!! Top man Wang!
Pure passion and knowledge and no ego. Respect that.
what a diamond - Love Daniel and I was a disco malcontent - timeless
would absolutely love a weekly or monthly show of this guy just deep diving into his records like this.
Waiting for the Peggy Gou, Daniel Wang B2B
Nearly 50 and the love for music has not diminished.

Daniel Wang & Metro Area
The best B Series EVER!
I have these records , and I too like them, there is SOOOO much to explore in Jazz Funk, Fusion, been collecting for 3 decades, still finding stuff weekly!
Glad you are sharing sweet B sides Amigo 🎼 I wear my favorite headphones for these occasions. Thanks
Can't knock Danny's enthusiasm. I'd watch this weekly if possible.
How I love this B-SIDES, GOD DAMN IT!
Best episode so far, Daniel’s a legend. Pretty much everything he released on Balihu was gold.
Sage advice from a legend. Are you listening kids?
Wang is the man. Living legend. Thanks for sharing this
This guy should have been my music teacher back in school
This is such a breath of fresh air. I love the more serious side of dance music and all that it brings to the scene but seriously - we need at least 40-50% more Daniel Wang-ness in the world
Ah Daniel Wang, one of my favourite DJ's. Always a treat to have him play at a party. He's also very interesting when he shares his musical knowledge, a real disco professor indeed! A very likable guy also who looks great at 50, he still has this boyish charm, I met him last year when he was playing @HOMOOST, a gay night hosted by club OOST, a great club in the city of Groningen, that's in the north of the Netherlands. I was dancing & grooving like a mad man when he was playing. When he was done, he didn't leave, but stayed to dance, When i wanted to shake his hand on the dancefloor, he cuddled me instead, what a sweetheart! (to think that i was all sweaty & half naked). Daniel doesn't shy away to incorparate housegrooves in his DJ sets and productions, but the backbone of all this music is disco. This episode of 5 favourite B-sides, proves why he one of the few Disco Dons, a DJ who always gets me moving & grooving with a big smile on my face. This episode I will defenitely watch again. Great upload!
Totally unpretentious dude, does a really good job explaining b-sides and what this series is all about
This Guy is "Simply" Fantastic!
wow daniel! such a gift! thaaaaanx!
I needed to watch it again today. So nice episode.
Daniel, you are a true gem. Thank you for being such a fan of everything music has to offer.
Nerd up! Go Daniel. Jokes aside a big fan and seen you mix up in Sydney, San Fran and Berlin over the years. Respect

Spanish version if Celebration known as Celebramos is a lot of fun also.
I want to meet Mister Wang and hear so much more about music sitting in a cozy coffeehouse. Such an incredible cool and charismatic guy. I love this video. Thanks for teaching and entertain us!
This is the best video on youtube. The enthusiasm, the knowledge, the records, the mouth organ, the dancing. MORE!!!
He has a slight Nardwuar vibe and I love every single bit of it
So good! Thank you Daniel!
More Daniel! good energy
Absolutely outstanding! Thank you Daniel!
You still have the same personality even after all your fame and I love it. Meaning being thrill on various music and all the small details . I also love how you get really into a song and find out who were involved and it’s deeper history,
