RIP to Both Daniel and Brett, his guitarist here who died in 2017 from Brain Cancer. Can see them jamming again wherever they are... both at age 58 as well.

"almost got hit by a truck" ..ambulance siren in the background, another perfectly flawed recording! This is why i love him, how many artists sit on their porch with an acoustic guitar and just make music.

His artistry has always been his soul-ripping songs, and the best expression of those songs has been Daniel, singing in whatever manner he is capable of doing at the moment. There's a difference between show business and songwriting, and here you see the distinction. I like songs best.

One of my favs also. But this vid proves the downside to outdoor recording, jerks on motorcycles, and ambulances and cops. But proffessionals never let a little outdoor noise interrupt a great performance!

Who is the guitar player? I know he was from East Liverpool Ohio and died from a brain tumor three years ago. That's all I can find out.He was very good. Sad to hear he died.

Is it just me or do Daniel's shakes seem alot worse than usual in this vid? Also if you watch when the ambulance goes by, the guitarist is doing his damnedest not to piss himself and ruin the song lol.

The soul of his songs is the talent The words the color of his art. Despite having a mental battle he fought all his life, this man is one of the most purest, honest talented artist and musician in the world. People all over the globe understand his heart and respect him for it. They don't look at him like you do and poke fun at him like you are. You should be ashamed of yourself. Imagine what he could have created if he didn't have to struggle with being bipolar. I have known him from the beginning. We were friends as teenagers and used to hang out together all the time. Danny was one of my best friends.

His art and music relieve his pain. It's all his mind knows how to do. I knew him when he was a teenager. He was ok back then. I heard all these songs but I didn't understand it was his feelings he was crying out with. This is his self medication. The pharmaceuticals they give him is what is causing the shaking and lack of clarity he suffers through.
