@@inorudreamer yeah I think if they hadn't made a happy ending and just left them for dead we would have a bunch of suicides. Even with that I was still a broken man for months.

My beloved mother, some months before dying at the beginning of this year, loved to sing this song... and she never loved japan or animes... but she heard it from me and loved it... and I will sing this to my future children... a marvelous, marvellous song. But I will never watch the anime again... I cried so much, probably cause it hurted me deep inside with my mother and her illness...

@@luminosetea Japanese uses Chinese characters lol. I'm pretty sure it's 家族 but it's pronounced "かぞく" or "kazoku" in Japanese. I just worry about using the wrong kanji lol I suck at it.

We rescued a kitty today, and he was meowing a lot, scared, and anxious, i sang him this song for more than an hour. He finished by relaxing, drinking milk, purring, and falling asleep in my arms❤️ Edit: For those wondering how he’s doing; he passed away a few months after :’’) I’d rather not say what happened since it’s pretty traumatic to me

At the start (clannad) whenever nagisa used to sing this, I thought this such a childish song. But when the whole version came in... I lost all of my sense and just couldn't stop myself from crying a hundred tears in the After story!!!😭 Man, this song gives me goosebumps and makes me cry at the same time!!

I thought I'm the only one here in 2024. I accidentally found this song and all feels rushed into me. Hek clannad almost broke me years ago and I still rmb how it felt.

His life was boring and mundane, sometimes even painful. Until he met a frail looking girl at the foot of the hill. She was odd, she said something like "Sweet bean bread." nervously. Then she asked, to nobody in particular "Do you like this school?" "I like this school very much." She added to no one once again. His answer right there would have been, "No," But after befriending her, he found it. The only reason he was living. When I heard this song I was 13 now I'm 20 this song brings so many good memories of my old friends and I used sing this song with my lil sis but she passed away it has been 4 yrs...this song bring those happy moments of my sis...😊❣️

my eyes started sweating as I was listening to this and my friend said “why are you crying over a dumpling family?” So I started the song over and I told her the story/meaning of this song and I was crying sooooo hard (literally sobbing and coughing) as I was telling her we were both crying by the time the song ended.

This song is still the only lullaby that my little girl will fall asleep to. Its hard to believe that it's been 9 years since I sung to her every day while I was pregnant. This anime still brings me to tears every time I watch it TwT

It's been 10 years since I first finished Clannad and After Story. Every time I hear this song, all those memories from watching that series always come rushing back in. I love this series, even if it made me teary eye. I still watch it because it's really good.

No anime has ever made me cry as hard as Clannad. My heart ached for quite awhile after I finished it.

The climax of this song still makes me shiver after listening to it all the time

I want how the artist felt when they were singing this.

I remember being a young kid, not even in 3rd grade (or maybe I was, I don’t remember.) and going on my grandmas computer in the dining room, hunched over the keyboard watching a different lyric video of this song and learning the lyrics. My grandma would be watching her soap operas and my grandpa would be sleeping or quietly reading the newspaper. I wasn’t allowed to play it too loud because my grandma wanted to hear her show, but she’d come by and see what I was doing and she thought the little Dango’s were cute. This song is such a Time Machine for me. I miss my grandma dearly🖤

man when I say this song is magical I SWEAR ON MY LIFE ! Like, I have a little pet duckling, rescued from a brooder at bad conditions. He's vary of being alone when he sleeps. I struggled alot in the beginning to put him to sleep, doing whatever antics that came to my mind, then recently one day I began to sing this out of nowhere and guess what, HE CALMED DOWN ! HE FELL ASLEEP LIKE A LITTLE BABY THAT HE IS ! God when he calmed down and snored to this I teared up, not almost, completely. I started to whimper and cry when he finally felt at peace sleeping to me singing this. I always knew this song was magical but never knew it was THIS MAGICAL
