Great advice. New collectors and investors need to realize that the quick tendies COVID days are pretty much behind us. Those that will make money in Pokemon will need to practice patience and keep items for years before gains are realized. The SwSh era went through a boom and bust full cycle within the last four years, and we are starting another market cycle now. A lot of people exited in the bear market of 2022-2023, and some are coming back due to renewed interest and raising prices of sealed BBs. 151 brought in fresh eyes as well as gen 9 with the younger generation. Anyone who is willing to buy SV boxes and sit on them for the next market cycle (years) will be smiling when the cycle turns bullish on those products. Sealed Pokemon TCG products have never failed to deliver value once enough time has passed. It is just that most are not willing to wait that long. In this day and age of social media and short-term gratification, it is even harder for younger folks to practice delayed gratification. Practice patience, and almost any Pokemon TCG seal product will reward you when enough time has passed.

same with one piece ATM, bandai confirmed re prints but never confirmed of what or the scale of the reprints. If you overpay for a box, as long as your holding for years youll make your money back no matter what

I don’t deny the fact that evolving skies will get to 1000 but as an 18 yo I don’t feel comfortable shelling out $600-$700. I am excited about the future of scarlet and violet. It leaves you thinking what will be the next evolving skies 🤔

If you're 18 years old #1 I wouldn't recommend looking at too much of this content. #2 I would recommend investing into something cheaper like Booster Bundles. Please be safe and don't spend too much.

It doesn't really matter what age you're. I think being younger is better. If you watch these videos and learn by the time you're 25 and are making some serious cash, you will know exactly what to do. You can always take my videos and simplify them. Instead of an evolving skies booster box, get an etb. But I feel you. Buying 1 box compared to 7 is tough to do when you're starting out

What I was just trying to say was that I’d rather miss out on a $600 booster box (evolving skies that I don’t doubt will go to $1000) but instead buy a case of modern (some scarlet and violet set in future that I think will do well) that way I’m sure each of the 6 boxes will appreciate instead of just 1.

Hundred percent the younger the better, when your older you have less financial flexibility. You can make riskier moves like I did and do things like buying ev skies bb for 170 and my overall portfolio is up 35% over 2 years

@@PokeBeardTCG I was mostly speaking on financial responsibilities. Unfortunately too many people are financially irresponsible. They're told not to be in debt or get car loans... They still do it. Based on stats most people will overspend.

Just bought a Paldea Evolved booster box and put in an Acrylic case. I absolutely love the set and think it will explode in the future. Also bought a Paradox rift booster box for around 85

I’m thinking of getting a case of lost origin but I need to wait to have the cash excess so I can hold on to it for a few years.

My son is the fan and I am the investor. I am grabbing up S&S booster boxes at a high rate right now. Just grabbed 2 more Fusion Strike boxes this morning. I think Obsidian flames & Paldea Evolved is a good grab at $100. They will go up and then the reprint will knock them down but not back to $100 but maybe $115 like Silver tempest. Its a long hold but I agree if you have the space and you are done grabbing older sets then definitely grab some S&V. Good video as always.

That sounds like the perfect combo. Yea also don't sleep on paradox rift. It's the same size as paldea evolved with the new versions of gardevoir and salamence and their holding their value better than almost everything in paldea. Then, it also has some older popular pokemon like garchomp, altaria, golisopod, tapu koko. Paldea evolved is pure gen 9.

Bought 10 cases of lost origin booster boxes at $745 a case a couple weeks ago💪🏽💪🏽

Absolutely! Go back a couple videos and watch my video of the sealed products I'm investing in this march. The galarian bird Tins are first on the list.

I think Crimson Haze and Masquerade set will get combine into 1 English set. And predictions for after that might be Indigo Disk, which might get a set with something else mixed in. My guess, it might have a bunch of legendaries since Indigo Disk has a bunch of legendaries in it. And obviously the return of mega Evolution with Legends ZA next year should reinteoduce mega evolutions back into the TCG.

As someone that started this year because of 151 and got interested in collecting and investing as like a side hobby. Would it just be better to start in gen 10? I’m still finishing my 151 set for my personal collection and then maybe move on to actually investing but idk if starting on SV would be good if Im still new to this. Thank you for this video!

I would definitely recommend buying a couple booster boxes here and there for S&V. Honestly such good sets and If you don't like the cards and dont feel like opening them that's a good thing so you won't feel the need to open the boxes and will keep them sealed. Just get yourself a few 151 sealed products while you still can and a couple paldea evolved booster boxes, and I would get some crown zenith etbs while you can. I promise you won't regret it. Also, definitely buy singles if trying to complete a set.

You can get mini tins for $10 with 1 pack of Evo Skies and 1 pack of fusion strike

Another thing I wish I would have the extra for. The SV base booster boxes

There’s no way all the boxes except ES will stay $200 for 10 years. Evolving Skies was printed more heavily than any of them and still did well. Fusion Strike & Lost Origin & Chilling Reign will probably be at $400 by the time ES hits $1,000.

I said in the video like 10 to 15 years down the road they will all be pretty expensive. I just think for the next couple years alot of them will be in the $200 range. We also have no clue on reprints cuz pokemon can reprint at any time. We got sun and moon etbs deep in Sword and shield, and it destroyed the market for them.

Off topic (and a follow up on Opossum Bud) : You also mentioned 'true' fans, yet you specificate that the 'fake' fans are in it for the money. THAT i get, and i agree with. I doubt these people call themselves 'fan' tho? I do collect (singles, and will NEVER sell any), yet i prefer the original Pokemon, simply cause i am familiar with them from the old days, and they make me feel good. I do not like the S&V era so far (not a fan of silver borders, Pokemon that mean nothing to me, and not a fan of the art nowadays). According to 'some' that makes me fake. Im 50 y/o, so i will get over that :), but its just weird to me. Do some collectors really feel they can just say that, bacause their collection is bigger? Or are they butthurt cause the prices go up, and they need someone to blame for that? I collect my way, and i really could care less how anyone else collects. Just trying to understand 👍

Look at xy evolutions compared to ES. Es is going double that easy. The card values smash is to bits.

TF best SV set so far, IMO. Good blend of art, playability, and hype. Not to mention rumors of shorter print runs. TF will be my SV collection largest position unless the new Terra pokemon take over completely.

@@PokeBeardTCG To be honest I don't like the pokemon either, because iam a day one og type. but this set is changing the whole meta at a time where we are literally setting records for regional events. Like them or not I will have to look at a deck of them everyday now because of TF. Return of the aspec I could go on. Don't think it's the best set ever, just that the factors surrounding the set are not being appreciated quite enough imo. Thanks for your reply I appreciate your perspectives

@chasingchases6678 yea but when its comes to the tcg. It only matters for a year or 2. As soon as it goes out of rotation it will crash. Which is why obsidian flames is actually doing pretty good right now. From an investor and collectors view its still a Great set its just one of the worst sets so far for S&V. Which isn't saying much cuz every set has been pretty good. I appreciate you watching.

I loaded up sealed cases around 70 75 a box, sealed cases chipped. no brainer. fusion strike is my other set i rreally bought up. Scarlet & Violet has the first ever legendary pokemon that are in the game, and gardevoir. Temporal forces is all new gen 9 and all remakes of older pokemon. Alot of people don't like these new future and ancient legendary remakes. Also base sets automatically just do good cuz it's the first set. It's also the first set with silver boarders.

I respect your opinion but I think you stated before that Temporal Forces is worst that Paradox Rift and I disagree. Paradox Rift is an awful set and doesnt have really much to offer. Temp Forces has like 6 or 7 ace spec cards, Bianca's appearance on 2 full arts, Gengar is thrown into the set twice, popular arts like Deerling/Sawsbuck. Paradox RIft doesnt have very much but a bunch of disc rot cds, Tulip, and Beach Court. Temporal Forces is like top 3 in Scarlet and Violet and thats still not good. Im not a fan of the degenerate looking legendary dogs either.

Look at the set again. Temporal forces is pure gen 9 besides a gastly and the gengar full art and the trainer. Paradox has groudon?? Yveltal?? Tapu koko, golisopod, garchomp, altaria sirs. None of those are Gen 9. Then we got the gardevoir and tyranitar variant. The variety is so much better.

So far temporal forces is looking to be my favorite. But I definitely think paradox rift is slept on.

It's still not as good as hidden fates, and will be printed more than hidden fates. So I don't think it will go that high. Or for sure never higher then hidden
