I am from an older generation and it's my belief that my generation allowed amendment violations of our constitution to occur so much that we unwittingly handed our constitutional rights over as unimportant and unnecessary. This younger generation, therefore, inherited tyrant cops with no desire to uphold constitutional rights and for that we should be ashamed. It warms my heart to see todays auditors taking back, at risk to them, these rights that were always theirs but forgotten.

It's not your generation's fault that you didn't have easy access to personal video cameras and cheap digital storage with the ability to publish it to a wide audience. Now that this is available, it's time for a reckoning. You did your best to keep from being screwed over by the police, which meant giving up your rights to avoid being thrown in jail or cited for trumped up false charges. The police used to be able to control the narrative and had credibility, but now the tables have turned with the advent of KZread and smartphones.

I don’t think the older generations allowed constitutional rights to be violated, they didn’t have cameras in their hands to protect them. The older generations would just get beaten to death if they didn’t comply. Having cameras has made it easier to stand up for your rights. Love the BAT community.

Always a great video, I am older than you and I think you know my story as a RN working in my towns Hospital, The police in my small to mid size town catch a disease when they join the police force and it is like they can’t or won’t think independently, the good ones may be scared but I thought I could even talk with them and explain , I have a job to protect and advocate for all my patients including prisoners that Most of the time have not even been convicted of a crime yet ; meaning been to court and been convicted of anything, I was doing my job by protecting their medical information and I would not add BACs or drug UAs if there was not a medical reason for it and most Doctors would not do favors for them, either, Then they retaliate I know what they are capable of in a group setting , They act like they are working as a unit not as a bunch of individuals, they speak and act robotic and it is like they have talking points they are fed. I have been around many times when they didn’t know I could hear them, They are not afraid of consequences like everyone else in America with their jobs, We do something to violate civil rights, just even treat my patients poorly, I have severe consequences and many to answer to that are not my friend,I documented injuries of people detained and prisoners from the Prison and jail, l talked respectfully but firm to them if I seen egregious wounds and injuries not matching with their story, I told my supervisors, made incident reports not on the chart that was policy, ifI was called to be a witness I was not going to lie under oath for them and they just couldn’t understand why I didn't want to do things outside scope of my nursing license and break the law for them, Nothing really worked to get them to back of me and even my friends and family, I loved being a nurse and I am a Veteran in the Air Force in a tactical position as a flight Nurse on C 130s first to go to dangerous areas around the world, War and disasters in my State and Country, I’m a smiley kind person who is not a GI Jane, I was a Captain, they did not care, took care of them professionally when they were injured and was decorated for saving a person outside my working environment, I was a single mother trying to do good things in life and they came close to breaking my spirit and today I have PTSD from cops, excluding what I call “Professional Police” with real training and some college , such as State Police, Forest Rangers and a LOT of Government agencies, Bottom line I couldn’t even make a dent on bad policing, I just gave them entertainment because I didn’t have anyone to back me, I began to lose faith that people would not see the light or care if wasn't happening to them , The police have had years of practice covering it all up so people don’t know or think it’s isolated or Rogue police but most are hero’s , sorry for Rambling but I am proud of you , I finally have hope I might see a change in my lifetime, Keep Educating them , Your better people then they are don’t stoop to their level and it is HARD not to, Martin Luther King and many civil up risings for change, REMEMBER guys and girls it’s your country and your future and you children’s future at stake here, Once they take away a right I don’t know if you could get it back, Peace and Love to my hero’s! Did you really just put AP and BAT in the same category? AP is an asshole who purposefully films public citizens doing their day to day for hours on end until he gets a reaction, and BAT holds the government accountable. AP has also been exposed for faking encounters and cutting parts out of his videos, where he is extremely rude, condescending and confrontational. Overall, the guy is a giant dick to everybody who asks him questions, with very smart ass answers and sleight insults. He is the opposite of what auditing is supposed to be. BAT is not anything like that.

I'm here in Santa Rosa, if you get up this way again I'm all for being your back up cameraman. Like the old adage, one is none and two is one..

Thanks for doing the audit in my hometown ! I've been here for 45 years and during that time the Santa Rosa cops I've interacted with have had a high proportion that were rude, arrogant and bad tempered. Even now that the video and internet age are upon, I see they still have some aggressive dicks in their ranks.

I will be more ready to interact with the police next time I come in contact with them, but generally speaking I keep a low profile, obey the law and avoid the legal industry at all costs.

Cameras in the lobby. Cameras on the perimeter. Cameras on their chest. Multiple cameras on cruisers checking plates in public parking lots. Dash cams. All of them are there to record PRIVATE citizens in a public place. Legal but definitely much more questionable than say... One private citizen in a public place with one or two cameras documenting PUBLIC servants/officials/employees. They're concerned about the one camera they don't control. Yup we get it but we're all scratching our heads.

Over the years of watching auditors, one thig that I have noticed is that the thumbs up button used to run about 10 to 1 ratio. Ten thumbs up to one thumb down. Today I am seeing averages more like 25 to1 ratio. This is encouraging as I see people catching on to what policing is really about, which is revenue collection and intimidation. Waking up is hard to do for most people but it is happening anyway.

5th amendment the most valuable right in my opinion, let the oppositions own mind deceive them of their own reality...
