They managed to avoid all the pitfalls of stranger abduction and finally make it home where 'funny' Uncle Frank will be babysitting them.

The messages from this video have aged well. Yes there are now dangerous strangers online as well, but when your out and about most of the stranger danger rules are covered in this video.

I've seen this American safety video from the early 1950s on KZread before and it has been teaching kids not to talk or go anywhere else with strangers. They must not accept gifts such as sweets from strangers either.

That young girl was very good for telling a manager about the man who touched her and he was forced to leave the cinema for his antisocial behaviour. Manager: Alright, pal, that's just enough! Out you go! You're banned from all the cinemas across the USA for your antisocial behaviour.

I like these kinds of videos too because sadly I was NOT taught by my parents not to talk to strangers gift or no gift. I accepted a ride from a strange man in 1978 when I was 16 and he molested me in his pick up truck When he found out I was under 18 he stopped. Luckily I got home safely but he gave me a std and he was standing at the bus stop pretending to be waiting for a bus . Like I was. His name was Casey. I hate that name for a man since then .

I WAS ALMOST THE VICTIM OF A STRANGER. I WAS WALKING DOWN THE STREET FROM MY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO MY HOUSE AND SOME MAN PULLED UP WANTING TO KNOW IF I WANTED TO RIDE WITH HIM. I IGNORED HIM AND KEPT WALKING. HE GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND TRIED TO GRAB ME AND I SCREAMED. A LADY CAM RUNNING OUT AND I TOLD HER THAT MAN TRIED TO GRAB ME. THE POLICE WERE CALLED AND THE LICENSE PLATE WAS GIVEN. THE POLICE DID CALL MY MOTHER AT THE SCHOOL AFTER THEY TOOK ME THERE

holy shit really? that's just plain scary when i was a kid i did talk them sometimes but not when i was alone though. at horse shows i'd talk them but i'd have my folks right there too so nothing ever did happen. i guess these messages really did get through to me i never really thought much about it till now. they really need to start showing these again but with today's youth i'd say remaster this and put color to it not that it needs color but most kids these days hate black and white but it does need to be remastered as they should put all these on dvd or bluray for schools.

I knew not to go with strangers before I even went to school. When someone asked me if I wanted a ride, I said, "no. You're not my mommy/daddy." When I was 18 years old, I was walking home from Wawa. A guy in his car pulled up to me. He asked me if I wanted a ride home. I said no and he just drove away. When I was 19 years old, I was on a school trip at the playground. I saw a toddler girl struggling to get in the baby swings. I offered to help her, but she just cried and called for her mommy. Her mother began yelling at me in Spanish. A month ago, I was cleaning up a playground. I saw a little girl playing all by herself. I asked her if she was with anybody. She said that she was with her father, her father's girlfriend, and her brother. When I asked her to watch her until it was time for her to go home, she said, "my daddy tells me not to trust strangers." I then told her my name and that I was just trying to protect her. We became good friends. I watched her until her family came to pick her up. Her father asked me who I was. I told him my name. I also told him that I was just looking after his daughter. He thanked me for watching over his daughter.
