Like that's not his original characterization.

I love how this song represents the difference between Athena and Hermes, Athena is the goddess of war and wisdom however Hermes among other things is the god of people who live by their wits. In this Hermes is telling him that to succeed he cannot have the mindset of a warrior but rather a clever man trying to get home.

no its not that line is referencing how Odysseus is a commander and when he makes a mistake people die. He commands with his wits but soldiers carry it out. Luck is not factor wisdom is. @@ked49 It could also be referencing how he has to sacrifice people for his plan. However given the context I do not thing that matches.

In this case(grandpap Hermes), he has to keep moving and thinking on his feet. While earlier he just had to have a plan(great auntie Athena) not extremely relevant but not unrelated.

I like the interactions of Hermes and Odysseus, you immediately remember that Odysseus is his great-grandson. I also like how Odysseus' grin turns into a grin, a keychain with an owl's muzzle on a sword, a simple but elegant palace of Odysseus and Penelope. And Hermes has no pupils, more precisely, they appear only at the end, as if an omen of revenge on the enemies of his descendant's family, it fascinates and frightens at the same time.

I really like the smile and eye of Hermes in the end. When he first appears he seems silly, funny, mischivous but harmless. That last smile and eye shows that behind the mask he has a keen mind that plans every move and the carefree look hides much more then a simple and funny messenger.

Makes sense for him to be more than he seems, as Hermes is also the Greek god of thievery and cunning (among other things). Add that to the fact that he's Odysseus' great-grandfather, I can definitely see him pulling out all the stops to help Ody when he can.

I like this animatic, and also I like how when Hermes says,” When danger greets you with a smile.” Odysseus smiles like he’s saying I’m the danger.

This is probably not what the author intended, but I've been listening to this song non-stop to psych myself up for upcoming chemo and surgery. This is sooo good! I absolutely love how you animated Hermes, he looks so fast, funny, so much gremlin energy, it's so fun! Exactly how it should be. And Odysseus looks so tired but also really determined, I love it, it's exactly as it should. Also I love how he gets less and less annoyed with Hermes's antics.

Hermes definitely threw that wave on him out of spite for odysseus brushing his shoulder after removing his hand before. Even did the same motion lol Love the detail!

Every song with Hermes I just can’t get over that Ody is probably so done with his great-grandfather’s antics even though he is the same in the drama department

@@Totally_Bonkers if you look up the wiki for "Epic: The Musical" the song "Dangerous" is supposed to be in the 3rd saga (vengeance) of act 2, which is unreleased. sometimes Jay shows off sneakpeaks of future music stuff on like tiktok and stuff, so thats how people have unfinished works to make animations to
