Dangerous heat wave puts millions at risk in U.S.

A heat wave is forecast to bring dangerously hot temperatures to the Midwest and Northeast this week, with at least 265 million people expected to experience temperatures above 90 degrees across the country. CBS News senior weather producer David Parkinson has more.

    Man, it was this hot last year too. And I think the year before that... seems like it gets hot every year around June and it doesn't seem to cool off until around August or Sept. I wonder if there's some sort of pattern- maybe we should consult a climate scientist to explain why it gets hot every summer. Such a mystery, who would have expected?

    What if the places where it's getting this hot don't get this kind of heat but once in a blue moon, like Texas got that blizzard that caused them to have nearly 20 grand utility bills? The world does not revolve around how hot or not it gets in your area.

    I am pretty sure a heat wave had to be three days long. And it’s not abnormal to be over 90° I’m 53 years old and I remember as a little kid being 100° out in the summer. just do what we always do drink lots of water and sit in the shade. Not a big deal. what’s up with the colors on the maps? I’ve never seen that before are they try to get us all afraid of something.?

    There was a single framed cartoon in the paper one time, the news caster was screaming "my god please save the children, it's the end of the world" and a couple sitting on a couch look at each other and one asks the other what's it all about and the other replies "its snowing"😅😅
