@@jmagination228 this was made on the keen engine. At the time they were stuck in a contract with soft disk and were making games as fast as they could.

I played this as a kid, never managed to finish it. The gore in this game was something to behold as a kid, it was frightening and brilliant for its time. One of my favorite games

I totally forgot about this game! Remember playing this on my brothers PC!

Да, но слишком однообразная. Поначалу игра классная: бабки, зелёная хрень и прыгающая крыса переросток. На одном уровне свободно уже фармил жизни. Дошёл где-то до половины, а потом переключился на что-то более интересное. Сейчас вот узнал, что у игры был сюжет.

@@alexandermarkov300 в то время, скорее всего, в цивилизацию зарубился. Another World и Flashback могли порадовать сюжетом. Mortal Kombat, Transport Tycoon, Theme Hospital, UFO. Много всего было интересного.

Звук где то с середины прохождения стал все сильней отставать от видео. В конце секунды на 2-3 уже отставал. А так все супер. Наконец то посмотрел что там дальше. В детстве так её и не прошёл.

ахаха, давно вспоминал название этой игры. вот где залипал!!! игруху так и не прошёл- после уровня с зелёным боссом проигрывал🤷‍♂️ не помню точно год, кажется 94 был. ходил к маме на работы играть на одном из рабочих компов. там ещё стояла игруха LHX про 4 вертолёта. а потом уже херетик, вольфенштайн, дум. денди отдельная тема.

I remember a glitch at the end of the first level where you just press up at the exit, keep pressing up in the level advance screen and then at the start of level 2, dave just skip that level and level 3 starts.

Мдааа, не прошёл я эту игру. Часто изза тормозного контроля нарывался на ножики которые эти коротенькие бабки ёжки кидают. Секрет в самом начале игры интересный!

The one hit deaths in this game are annoying asf. I gave up at level 7 because of them damn werewolves jumping all over the place!

well almost after 25 years I've finally beaten it. And here's what I have learnt about this game- it's all not about either your reaction or skill. The game shows you the potential of having awareness, self-control and ability to learn from mistakes.

Do you know, that you can shoot sometimes "thru the wall". Stick close to the wall, and when enemy on other side of the wall, mostly that old lady and that green thing, or even spider come to it. you "shut down", and bullet go thru (you see the fire on other side). Sometimes it work, but you need to stick to the wall, and the enemy mostly in that case seems like they pass the wall border a little bit.

From the manual: Three years have passed since Dave made his way through the deserted pirate's hideout. After reclaiming his high jumping trophies, Dave won trophies at the county competitions for sky diving, cow chip tossing, and skeet shooting. Those days of personal glory warmed Dave's soul. But darker times lay ahead. Dave's brother Delbert, age 12, has not returned from a sleepover at a friend's house. Dave learns that Delbert, on a dare from one of his friends, entered Starlive Manor last night. Dave shivers at the thought of Starlive Manor-a house known to be haunted by the spectre of a demented madman named Silas Starlive, an evil scientist who delved who one should not delve. Appartently, whatever old Silas discovered destroyed him, and his unresting soul still wanders the manor, along with the products of his evil experiments. Even the police are scared and won't go in, for no one that entered the mansion has ever returned. Dave starts up his truck, ready to head for the Manor. He reflects for a moment, then runs back in the house returning with his shotgun, and a platoon's share of shells. He is determined to find his brother and to be the first one to return alive. The gravel crackles under his truck's ties as Dave's approaches the gate. In the blazing sun, Starlive Manor looks like a normal, run-down, abandoned old mansion. Dave picks up his shotgun, takes the safety off, and walks toward the gate. Squinting his eyes for effect, Dave speaks one phrase through gritted teeth: "I'm coming for ya, Delbert!"

I never had the pleasure of owning/playing this game. Looks like it is the spiritual predecessor of Blackthorne.

It was amazing in 90s

one of ther first "scary games" i played back when i was a child in 1992... damn later leveles scared me... i also played dangerous dave 1 ... and in my mind the story for me was to rescue dave's brother lost in the first game

It took me years to figure out this game. I was playing it during my childhood 16 years ago in my first PC with Windows Vista. Somebody gift me the game in a CD with several classic games lika Road Rash, Mario and lugi for MS DOS, F1 game and others. I'v been remenbering this Game as" hunter" because that's says in that CD. Finally i found it after make a research MSDOS Games and i can playe it on internet. Yeah!!

Beating this game without dies is like beating Souls in single try playing with just one leg using a banana as controller. Amazing!

там кроме клавы ничего и не нужно. она вся проходится на клаве. первый раз может быть совсем не быстро.

No way. It's impossible to save the game in DOS

Wow...I used to play this, but PC was such a shitty platform for games like this. No smooth scrolling and not enough creative developers to make platform games. Man, does it look ugly.
