For those that don’t know, before I started uploading much on here Mike dominated the spectator drags at Seekonk for many years. I love these types of races. It's the only type of races you can see a 91 vr4 work bran new corvettes right out of competition. Need more of these kinds of races across the country. Too many badass rides camped out in garages, sitting in yards, and being sent off to junkyards because people forgot what they were built for. Thanks for the video.

What an adrenaline rush and getting to hear my car echo off the walls around the track was epic!!!

The all powerful 90’s Mitsubishi 3000GT what a beast

Mr. Rojo here, my 92 VR4 was a beast when I had it running, launching at 6k all the time until it broke. Now I have a 97 VR4 3rd and 4th gear pulls for the win. Fun cars. Great to see a VR4 kicking ass.

Never seen so many straw hats in one place 🤣

Love for my mitsubishi folks two of the best people out rippin it for us fans!

This was awesome and I know the vr4 and eclipse are sometimes finicky but I miss mine, I got the jump on everyone on the street. Btw- these are the best spectator races I've seen. Usually it's a bunch of cheap crappy worn-out slow cars.

This is the best series I’ve seen so far. Very competitive car. Crazy to see both Mitsubishis dominating, wasn’t expecting that. Even less from the Eclipse.

VR4 is not only AWD it also has 4 wheel steering. Its a monster and Superior to the Vette of the same era.

two of best looking top level performance mitsubishis ever eclipse gsx and 3000gt vr-4 .

Eclipse GSX was my absolute favorite!! The American Evo in disguise. If he had his white EVO he would’ve won.

That red Mits was Bad to the Bone before it Popped. THE WINNING RED MITS was Jaw Dropping.

@@timsharpe3498 both Mitsubishi is ancient in technology compared to the corvette and doesn't have the extensive hundreds of millions of dollars in Mid Engine r&d that GM has acquired all through racing

@@brucevous1 MSRP on a 2021 C8 is $59,999. The much improved 2022 C8 is priced in the mid $70,000 range. The 2021 didn’t have a whole lot of power because GM was saving that for later. The AWD Japwagons are better suited to a small track and considering the cost differential it’s probably safe to assume that they could afford to drive them a lot harder to get the W.

@@brucevous1 You make it sound like a factory stock comparison when the Mitsubishi’s were modded. The stock C8 would destroy either of them in a 1/4 mile or a road course. Those boys have been doing spectator drags for decades so don’t give me that bull about the Corvette driver being so experienced because it looked like he was busy watching Jeopardy during most of the starts.

Definitely was some good racing, some good action hopefully near future I'll be able to get out there and have some fun

Mitsubishi's just own Spectator drags. On dirt tracks it's the Evo, on paved the VR4 and Eclipse.

@PeePee2000 not true at all. Not even a little. Been hot lapping 4g63 for years now way harder than this. Even raced an entire fuel of tank away from full to empty in 4 hours.

@PeePee2000 no doubt it started losing power but was never hot. Stock rods don’t like torque. The lower the rpm, the more torque so as soon as I floored it, the rod finally quit. I could throw rods and pistons in it and that issue is solved until the next thing breaks 😂😂 the car is 25 years old and really should be gone over and upgraded but there is no fun in that. Then you’re racing a $20k built car and not a $500 dollar car

Although it’s obvious that the VR4 is modified and the C8 isn’t, most likely. The VR4 was 300 hp and 306 ft lbs stock at 3700 lbs and my C5Z06 is 405 hp and 400 ft lbs at 3180 lbs, so traction would make the difference in a drag race.

i knew from the get that gt350 was going to beat up that gtr lol

I think he’s raced 6 different cars. He’s been at it a while but has never blown up until now. If you watch interview at end he says it’s a $500 beater and it should have blown up long time ago
