Yet it’s sorta useless because he can’t get people to believe him, like when he’s trying to tell people shuichi is lying when he does so in every single trial

The fourth class trial really shows what hypocrites the other students are, especially towards Kokichi. They preach "trust" and "truth" but can't actually face either of them. Especially evident when Kaito and Maki keep threatening Kokichi when he says things they don't like.

Kokichi is more realistic than any character, even Tsumugi (she’s real or smth). He tells people on how they gang up on someone and then the next minute they act perfectly normal. He is basically telling the player something about life 😃

I also love how the music just stops like even it’s in complete shock and currently processing wtf just happened.

Kokichi is probably the most interesting character in the games. He is just a prankster that's a compulsive liar, yet he made everyone believe he was the mastermind, outsmarted the real mastermind, and still tried to save everyone even though they all hated him because he had successfully fooled them into thinking he's evil. What really hurt my heart is even after they figured out he sacrificed his life to save them, they still hated him, and only Keebo believed his dying words, because he used logic instead of emotions. They all were like "boohoo Kaito" when Kokichi was the one who came up with the plan, and if Kaito and Shuichi didn't ruin it, it would of worked. If monokuma didn't know who died, how could he possibly punish the others for not knowing? He broke the game from the inside out. You can tell this is all a fake persona because in the other game modes he's just a childish prankster.

Monokuma isn't fair. He would just kill the class if they couldn't find the answer. That even happens in the game where he says that if no one finds who did it he’ll just execute them. Also the difference is that Kaito was their friend, and Kokichi was an asshole until the end, of course they’d have different opinions on both of them. (sorry for replying to a yr old comment btw)

Kokichi Ouma is literally one of the smartest characters in the danganronpa series, he is such a good liar that he made it so even Monakuma didn't know what the hell happened (The only one who's done that.) He may look like a prick to everyone else but he knows that the only way to win and get everyone out is for no one to know what he's thinking or doing, including Monokuma. He is such an amazing character but he's just so misunderstood, yeah he's an asshole but it makes everything more interesting and fun.

Kokichi’s voice actor is amazing at capturing that goofy energy and that very serious and creepy tone as well.

Ik I’m late, but I’m gonna write a whole essay on Kokichi rn. Basically Kokichi has always lied, it’s just a part of him. He does it for good and bad reasons, and he talks about how lies arent always bad or good. He always lied for “bad” reasons because he wanted everyone to think he was the mastermind, it was all his plan. He always said that the other shouldn’t work together, and he was right. Working together will lead to more despair, and that’s what Monokuma, the Mastermind, and the viewers want, but the viewers also want hope. Kokichi knew their were viewers, he wasnt wrong either. He is always thinking, always lying, always being annoying, but all of those were his plan. He wanted to end the Killing Game, end Monokuma, so he was always following on his plan. Sure, the plan failed in the end, but he always hated the Killing Game, he just pretended to not hate it, and again, that was part of the plan. He wrote a whole script, a whole book on situations, and branches off those situations. He wrote scripts, lines, small details, everything in a book/journal. He also had blue prints, and he worked around that too, and made childish blue prints so people wouldn’t find the real ones. He knew that no one would take all that time to look through that many boxes since the top ones were childish, it would be a waste of time in the persons book. He had all of this planned out, thought these out as a teenager. He was scared, he was always scared, yet he hid it. He was the Ultimate Supreme Leader after all. Being the Ultimate Supreme Leader means he would be a good liar, manipulator, etc. Everyone would either always think he was lying, no matter what, or would question it. Even if it’s so obvious, they still question it. Meaning he is a good liar without even trying. Take Trial 3 for example, he lied about being the culprit and everyone except Shuichi didn’t know if he was lying or not. Kokichi had a crush on Shuichi too, he always teased him, called him Beloved, said he “stole his heart,” etc. Those feelings were never returned, and Kokichi knew that, and he was probably hurt about it. Especially when Shuichi told Kokichi he was alone, Kokichi’s mask fell quickly. He immediately stopped acting happy and got serious, it’s shown he actually has emotions. Kokichi manipulated Gonta only to trick the others into thinking he’s the Mastermind. That’s proven too, in Chapter 5. He manipulated Gonta into killing Miu, except in reality he cared for Gonta. He didn’t want him to die, but he had to end the Killing Game. Gonta agreed, knowing what would happened if he were to be found out, yet he still agreed, so it wasn’t all Kokichi. It’s proven he cared for Gonta when he started crying for him at the end of the 4th Trial. He wasn’t fake crying, it was real too. He wanted to get executed with Gonta, and was sad even after Gonta’s death. Yet he put on his mask once again, he realized his mistake so he put on the personality that everyone knows. The liar, the manipulator, the crazy one, that’s what they thought of Kokichi, and I’m confident that he was hurt by that. He said he didn’t care about Gonta when all he wanted was for someone to comfort him, deep down he wanted to stop and just tell everyone his plan. But he always knew that no matter what he said, they’d think it’s a lie. He got Miu to create the Electrobombs, and Electrohammers. Keep in mind that Miu hates Kokichi, yet still made them for him, so Kokichi probably did something to get her too. He also made her make a remote and he controlled the exisals. He did this all for them to think he was the Mastermind. He told them the “despairing truth,” and hoped they would stop killing after that. He hoped they didn’t wanna go outside anymore, and the killings would stop. He knew their was a Mastermind, he knew their were viewers, and he is way smarter than credited for. He also wrote “Horse A,” on a rock outside. Then, he finished filling it in and it said “This World Is Mine. Kokichi Oma.” And, in his dorm room, Maki and Shuichi find a note and it leads Shuichi somewhere and he finds the message, “Twins B.” Then we find out that those were codes to the vault in Rantaro’s Ultimate Lab. Keep in mind that Ultimate Labs aren’t opened if the Ultimate dies, so it’s unknown how Kokichi got that info to the code. But if it weren’t for Kokichi, they wouldn’t have opened the vault, and they wouldn’t have found all that information. So without Kokichi, then some info in the 6th Trial wouldn’t have been discussed. Then, he makes a case where Monokuma doesn’t know who the blackened and culprit are. That proves how smart he is. Sure, the case was solved, but Monokuma still had to rely on Shuichi’s detective work. Kokichi also got Shuichi to go along with his plan, sure, Kaito was the one in the exisal, but it was still Kokichi’s plan. He died to end the Killing Game, and he always had that plan. From the start of the Killing Game, he always planned to die, he just waited for the right time. In the end, Shuichi still never understood Kokichi, and who he was. Kokichi also pretended to drink the antidote, knowing Kaito hated him, yet he still gave Kaito the antidote. Everyone hates him, but he still cared for them, deep down, he wanted to be friends with them. He saved Kaito. Even when Maki tried killing Kokichi many times, he still cared for her. I feel like they are so much alike though, they both lied. Aswell as Kirumi and Kaito. His trust issues probably rised when he found out Kirumi was the blackened. He thought of her as a mother, and actually cared for her. And with Kaito, he told the truth for Kaito, and Kaito lied for Kokichi. They both changed each other. In the end, Kokichi wasn’t a bad guy, he only wanted to help people. I love him so much, and he deserved better.

Kokichi was genuinely the most honest and selfless character though he was perceived by the others as a selfish liar. He lied in trials to make progress and find the real culprit, continuously tried to find ways out of the game in which everyone would survive, and took the blame for everything. He even set up his own death to ensure his friends would make it out alive and no one acknowledged that or gave credit to him. The sad part is, he risked it all and the people he cared about most didn’t even mourn him.

I really hate the ending when they escaped because every single person I love died,I hate maki because she choked him 2 times and that pissed me off , why I hate shuichi (not that much) is because kokichi liked him but he was rejecting him and I was sad, and last himiko I randomly hate her lol.
