My old Nitrcore unit can output >1000lumens with a single 18650 or 2x CR123 cells.

To be fair, 99% of the usage for the headlamp is made for non-industrial, non-military grade work, or indoor work. It would be nice if DanForce came with industrial grade options, even if the price is tripled. In addition, hardhat support components can be designed as well.

,what i don't like is the battery case is a sealed unit,,so you can't replace the batteries.. the real test is how long will the batteries keep recharging? when the batteries do stop charging the whole light is useless

Amazon reviews for this product is pretty favorable for long-lasting batteries. As far as the case, one hack is to wrap it with tape (or in my case, a velcro strap, which I do for other products if I need additional stability) since you don't have to replace the batteries very often, if ever. From what I see, though, they are standard replaceable rechargeables, but I may be wrong.

I just bought one. It now has a flat 1500 mh battery and you can take it out and replace it. You just need a small screw driver.

Better to get a single 18650 light, or if you dnt mind weight a 21700 for when you need to go into the forest, and carry an extra battery, or you could het a dinky little acebeam h16 or whatever, for a thrower th thrunite th10v2 is good for cycling amd seei.g more in front without ligbt beam spill into cars
